Trip to Hell- Philip Mantofa

Rev Philip Mantofa graced FGA KL on 14^th September with a powerful revelation of his trip to hell. More than 5000 people gathered into the main auditorium and five overflow rooms to listen to Rev Philip’s message, while 1409 people listened to this message live-streamed.

 

 

“Let’s pray that You (Jesus) are here with us for when one or two gather, you are amongst us. Dear Lord Jesus, send your Holy Spirit into our lives, to convict every sinner of sin, justice, and righteousness.”

“Please hide me behind the cross, so that people would only see you and be saved. Give us an open heart and an open heaven tonight!” prayed Philip.

Thirteen years ago, God took Philip’s spirit to hell to see the horrible tortures that had befallen all the ‘living dead’ in hell. Everyone who has died outside of Jesus Christ ended up in hell.

 

 

“It was not a dream but I went there literally, only in my Spirit while my body was on my bed. It was a supernatural occurrence but I was perfectly conscious. All my physical senses were intact,” said Philip adding that he could smell, see, and feel like how the congregation could that night.

He woke up from that vision at five in the morning and the first words he uttered was what Apostle Paul uttered (1 Cor 9:16), “Woe to me if I don’t preach the gospel!”

“So, I don’t care anymore about what other people think about this vision of mine. I only want to be obedient to Jesus Christ by sharing the good news with everyone… warning them also on what Jesus has warned in the Bible,” said Philip who is aware that his testimony has caused many controversies.

 

What the Bible says about Hell?

 

 

“For me to share this message has been a difficult thing to do because this vision has caused me trauma since this is not a dream but a reality that God has brought me to see,” said Philip; he experienced nausea, headaches, and sore muscles recalling his trip to hell

“Why am I saying all this to you? Just in case if you’re not a willing party to hear this, I am with you because I don’t feel like saying it. But please listen because this is not for me but for your salvation,” he added before expounding what the Bible tells us about hell.

 

The Existence of Heaven and Hell

 

 

Rev 20:11

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

 

The Apostle John saw in his vision that Jesus is sitting on a great white throne, and there are no more earth or skies. This is a prophesy of the end times, where the history of mankind and the world have come to a end.

 

Hebrews 9:27

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.

 

But Rev 20:11 has not been fulfilled yet but it is a prediction of the future. One day, Jesus will return and judge everyone- the living and the dead. How do we know that this will happen? This is because there will be neither earth nor sky anymore at that time.

“So, let me tell you that hell exists and it is reserved for Satan and all his demon spirits. It has never been meant for human beings but we can choose to go there when we reject Jesus. He is the only truth, way, and life,” said Philip.

 

 

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

 

Humans as Eternal Beings

 

Rev 20:12

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

 

Rev 20:12 paints a clear picture of how judgment day will look like. If the dead could stand before the judgment throne, it could only mean that human beings can never really die. The difference between the human race and animal kingdom is that while animals die and cease to exist, humans pass away in a new realm called eternity. The Bible says we are created in the image of God who is an eternal being (Gen 1:27).

“So, they (humans who passed away) are not dead after all. I am trying to convince you that there is such a thing called eternal reality right ahead of us,” said Philip.

 

 

Rev 20:13-14

The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

 

In Rev 20:13-14, three things or places were mentioned. Firstly, ‘death’ is mentioned, which is an event that all of us will go through some day. Secondly, Hades is a place to keep the dead before Jesus Christ comes back, but it is only a place to keep the unbelieving dead who died outside of Jesus Christ. Thirdly, the lake of fire is the second death or final hell.

 

Are we saved?

“Jesus said to the criminal who was crucified next to him, the one who repented, he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘Today, you will be with me in paradise,’” said Philip.

Jesus was crucified on a Good Friday. He died at three in the afternoon but the two criminals did not die until sunset. The Roman soldiers had to break the criminals’ bones to prevent them from using their strength to pull their body up to breath. They had to die quickly so that their bodies can be collected before the next day, which was Sabbath day or a day of rest. Indeed, Jesus is the author of our life who knows when our life will end. He knew that the criminal would die on the same day with him; that is why He said today.

 

 

“Unless you give your heart and start over, unless Jesus give you an eternal life, you will never see Heaven. Just like this criminal who repented, because he believe in Jesus and put his trust in Him, he will never meet Hades.”

“And if you say you’re a Christian but your faith is fake, you pretend to know Jesus but Jesus says I don’t know you, you will not be saved,” said Philip.

 

Matt 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

 

“Just because you’re in church doesn’t make you a Christian. Just because you’re in a garage doesn’t make you a car. Just because you’re born in a Christian family, doesn’t mean you’re a Christian. Unless you receive John 1:12 wholeheartedly, you are not saved,” said Philip.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

 

What is the Difference- Hades and Lake of Fire?

The Bible clearly warns us that when Jesus returns, those who are kept in Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire or final hell. In the lake of fire, Satan will not be able to torture anyone there but he will be tortured there with everyone who followed his will to kill, rebel, hate, and do all kinds of evil practices without accepting Christ in repentance. But in Hades now, Satan is not tortured. In fact, Satan and his demonic kingdom are free.

When Jesus came to a village, a man with a legion of demons in him came to meet Jesus and said, “What do you want with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”

 

 

“Even Satan knows the scripture. Nobody has been thrown into the lake of fire yet. No living dead or Satan are thrown into the lake of fire. All of these people who died outside of Christ or pretending to know Him are kept at a lounge called Sheol in the Old Testament and Hades in the New Testament,” said Philip. In Sheol or Hades, Satan is free to roam but it is not time yet to cast him into hell.

“You and I have need to agree that in the final hell—in the lake of fire— Satan will torture no one but he will be the first one to be tortured. But before Jesus comes back the second time, Satan is able to torture people. He is alive and well,” said Philip.

 

Sinful Parts tortured in Hades

Thirteen years ago, what Philip saw was in Hades, where he witnessed the devil torturing people before their time of judgment. Matthew 5:21-30 tells us that it is better for us to pluck our ‘sinful’ eye out than to have our whole body sent to hell. This shows us that sinful body parts would be subjected to torture in Hades.

 

Matthew 5:27-30

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

 

But in lake of fire, there will be only one kind of torture; Satan, his demons and his people will be burned alive in the lake of fire, breathed out from God Himself and heated beyond imagination.

 

The trip to hell

On January 2000, Philip felt that he had slept for a short while before a hand tapped on his shoulder to wake him up. But he did not physically wake up from his bed and that puzzled him.

“I thought to myself… Where am I? How come I am here? And there was a voice behind me. I recognized that voice as the voice of Jesus telling me to walk because he wanted to show me something. I knew it was not a dream because just like I am today, I am consciously awake,” said Philip.

 

 

He attempted to look into the direction of the voice that was talking to him but his neck was stiff and he could only look to the front. He walked a long distance and got tired after a while, but the hand of the voice touched his shoulder again and gave him strength to continue walking. Finally, he reached a structure that looked like a gate.

“In my testimony, I will use the word ‘like’ because it has nothing resembling the world here but I do my best to explain in simple terms that you could understand,” said Philip.

The gate was so huge that he could not see the left and right boundary of the gate. High above the gate, he saw a moving supernatural writing. Then, the Holy Spirit gave him the interpretation of the words; they say, ‘Hades, the Place of Torture.’ The voice that was Jesus, asked him to open to door.

“I objected. How can I (being) so small open this door? Actually, there are many doors. I was standing in one of the gates to hell. I was scared to go to hell, I know immediately that this is a supernatural vision but I obeyed the voice because this is the voice of my savior; He said, ‘I would like to show you where the dead lives,’” said Philip.

 

 

“My only comfort was I was there for sins of people, not mine because I have made peace to God through Jesus Christ. I was taken there to warn sinners that if you’re stubborn in your own ways, you will end up there. That was my only comfort. I cannot imagine those people who are there for their sins. How lost they might feel. I felt so lost and scared,” he added.

He tried to run away but Jesus encouraged him to stay saying, “You have to see what I have to show you because I am giving you a message to tell the world, not the new one but the old one that the world ignores everyday.”

 

 

Witness #1: Lady at the gates

Immediately, he saw a lady but the lady could not see him and Jesus. The lady was surrounded by hundreds of demon spirits in demonic forms, moving very quickly and changing every second. But Jesus told Philip to focus on the lady not the spirits lest he would be scared.

The demons were chanting and worshipping their leader, Satan. All of them are giving glory to Satan for succeeding to deceive the woman into hell. All of a sudden, the chanting changed and the devils were talking in an unintelligible demonic language. Jesus touched his left ear, so that he could understand. The devils were repeating the word, “Lie, lie, lie,” a hundred times. For a very long time, Philip just stood there quiet and dumbfounded. Although he felt very lost, he braved himself to look at them.

“I have to remind myself over and over that I wasn’t there for my own sin, and Jesus kept on encouraging me,” said Philip.

The woman was tied to something that looked like a pole and she just kept nodding her head. Philip asked the Lord who she was and why she was there. The Lord told him that she was still near the gate because she has died recently; those who died earlier will go further into the stomach of hell. This lady was there because she has lived in lies.

 

 

“In my heart, I immediately understood. I picked up God’s message that she is an adulterer somehow,” said Philip.

When she nodded her heard, all of a sudden, one of the demons thrust something on her face and fresh blood burst out of her face. They tortured her face so badly that it appeared to be ‘minced meat’ to Philip. He could not stand the sight and began screaming on the top of his lungs but nobody could hear him.

“I shouted, ‘Stop! Stop! Stop that!’ I said to Jesus, ‘Please stop that!’ I tried to turn around but I could not… But I could hear someone behind me sobbing. Then, a word came, ‘for a man to live is once, then it is judgment,’” he said.

 

 

“You have to understand one thing, what happened in the after life is supernatural. After a while, the lady’s face became normal and she got tortured again. Things get repeated until Jesus come back, but these people feels the pain,” he added.

In the after life, our senses get sharper. Salty tastes saltier, sweet tastes sweeter, happy taste happier, scary feels scarier, and pain feels more painful.

“We are no Casper my friend. The Bible warns us that if our right eye causes us to sin, gauge it out. The bible is talking about repentance here (the turning away from sins),” said Philip.

 

Witness #2: Man from stomach of hell

Then, he saw another gentleman brought out on a stretch amidst a commotion from a distance. Jesus told Philip that this man had died a long time ago. Hence, he was brought deeper into the stomach of hell. This man was brought nearer with many demons surrounding him, demons he served when he was alive. From his built, Philip could tell that he was a man but all he could see was a skeleton with melted flesh.

None of the demons touched the man he saw but they chanted their worship to Satan and celebrated their victory over this man. And then, Philip heard them chanting the word, “Sex! Sex! Sex!” And immediately, worm-like creatures would come out from the crevices of his body including his eyes, nose, genital areas, and belly. These creatures are living beings created by the breath of God that ate its flesh away. The Lord told Philip that this man was involved in all kinds of sexual activity including masturbation and homosexual relationship.

 

 

Jesus took Philip closer and closer to the lake of fire until a place where he could see the lake from a far. He told Philip that the lake was a bottomless pit and the fire is lit from the supernatural breath of God.

“I could see smoke bellowing… the fire must be humongous but the pit is so deep that there’s not visible fire but smoke. When the living dead comes near the lake of fire and breath in the smoke, something like worms will come out of their bodies,” said Philip.

“I saw hundreds of cases but I can only share three or four of them. I have no strength to share all of them,” said Philip before continuing his final account of his testimony that night.

 

Witness #3: Father and son

Suddenly, he saw two men brought out from nowhere. Standing at a distance, Philip could supernaturally zoom into their faces; he could tell they look similar. In fact, these two men were father and son who both died as unbelievers. They hated each other when they were still alive and there were thousands upon thousands of demons around them!

“I know the sin of hatred is a serious sin. No sin like the sin of hatred can attract so many demons into your lives,” said Philip.

The Lord anointed his eyes to see through the crowd of demons. After chanting their worship to Satan, these demons force the father and son to cannibalize each other. Their suffering was apparent in their faces, more on the father than the son. The father was forced to eat the whole brain of the son, where the brain pieces were seen to supernaturally spilled out.

“I could see tears in their eyes, tears every where in Hades, gnashing of teeth, worms that could not die, people cursing God, people crying for help but none of them could mention the name ‘Jesus.’”

 

 

“That’s one word that has been separated from their mouths and that is Jesus. They can shout, ‘Help me God!’ but not ‘Help me Jesus!’ When I was in Hades, I could not hear the word of Jesus at all. The Bible says that those who cry out to the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved, but they (those in Hades) could not cry out anymore,” said Philip.

 

Psalm 3:4

I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill.

 

Some of us have experienced a certain ‘burden’ on our body when we are asleep, but once we call upon the name of Jesus, the ‘burden’ would leave.

“So, don’t use the name of Jesus in vain or mention His Name as a coarse language. That is the only name that can save you from Satan. Be grateful that when you eat your meal, you can say, ‘In Jesus name, Amen!’” he said.

 

The Way, Truth, and Life

“I was very reluctant to speak this message. It is not a physical illness but I felt like throwing up. Many times, I want to retire from this ‘trip to hell’ crusade but love compels me. If there’s one more sinner in the house to save, I will still speak this message,” he said.

 

Acts 2:37-38

Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

 

“At the end of my message, this is the only way to get your sins forgiven and avoid that cursed place by repenting and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, being baptized in his name and you will receive him,” he added.

 

 

In ending his sermon, Philip invited everyone who wanted to accept Jesus Christ to the altar, after having divulged the scenes he witnessed from his trip to hell.

“Look at me, all of you, from now on, I am no longer responsible for your eternal fate. I have done what I could to convince you, all that I could. I have dragged myself to this point. Your blood is no longer in my hands.”

“But Jesus is waiting for you… Now, it’s time to respond. This is spiritual warfare; time is precious. When you don’t make any decision that is your decision. It is not my persuasive words but the conviction of the Holy Spirit,” he said with a sincerity and poignancy.

 

 

Upon the altar call, 806 people rushed forward to accept Jesus, unto the proclamation that all bondages and shackles by the devil are broken down in Jesus name. More than 160 people are baptized on that very night. Praise the Lord and all glory to Jesus’ name! 

Time is short. Don’t wait any longer and come to know Jesus.
