About Malaysian Gospel Music (MGM)
Founded in 2011 to advance and raise the standard of Gospel Music in Malaysia. It was created as a platform for Malaysian Christian artists to impact our churches, culture, and community.
Besides being a platform, MGM also has an established position as a prominent community for Christian artists, musicians, songwriters, and producers. Through events and gatherings, musicians and producers mutually encourage one another in ministry work expressed through worship and music.
In as much as MGM events are dedicated to the growth of vibrant worship, they are also celebrations of the unity and diversity of the Malaysian Church through music.
Through the years MGM have conducted and launched a number of events and projects in line with their vision such as concerts, workshops, showcases as well as producing their own albums. Since 2011, they’ve been organising concerts all across Malaysia to create a greater awareness of Malaysia gospel/christian music. In 2014, they launched their “School of Worship” with special guest Bob Fitts. SOW is designed to equip worship leaders and musicians from various churches in the area of worship, so that they can further influence the worship ministry and culture of their respective churches.
MGM has been at the forefront of the local worship scene since 2011.
MGM also produced their first ever album in 2011 and to date they have produced a total of 3 albums, consisting of all original songs written by Malaysian artistes. MGM is constantly adapting and evolving to ensure it stays relevant across generations.
