23 March 2014 by Natasha Kim CM –
Apostle Julius Suubi, founder and director of Highway of Holiness ministries International, recently shared at the Bible College of Malaysia, Petaling Jaya. His ministry is at the forefront of prayer revival in Kenya and is characterized by great anointing of prayer, prophecy, deliverance, and healing. To bring the nation back to God, he runs a 24/7 prayer tower in the heart of Nairobi city, where intercession for nations of the world takes place. His work includes establishing prayer altars in different countries such as Uganda, Zambia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Australia and many others! Together with his intercessors, he came to impart knowledge, revelations and the gifts of the Holy Spirit throughout the three day conference, from 11th to 13th of March 2014.
Going back in time, Julius’s burden for Malaysia began in 2010 when the Lord spoke to him about the need for the churches across Malaysia to awake and arise from their sleep. Julius and his intercessors from then on, put it upon themselves to ensure a revival in the nation by flying to Malaysia, specifically Penang, where they fasted and prayed continuously for 40 days. Since then, God has used him greatly to stir up intercession in many churches big and small! Many came from near and far to listen to him speak that day, including the many leaders of the churches from the Assemblies of God.
Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come here to me.” They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down. 31 Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Your name shall be Israel.”32 With the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord, and he dug a trench around it large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, “Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood.”
34 “Do it again,” he said, and they did it again.
“Do it a third time,” he ordered, and they did it the third time. 35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.
36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!” (1 Kings 18:30-39)
The scriptures in 1 Kings 17 and 18, is one of the greatest scriptures on a national revival that had a tremendous impact on a nation. It also further explains on how a nation turns into darkness and how a nation moves from darkness to experience a national revival that touches individuals and the highest officers in the land. According to the book of Kings, the nation of Israel experienced that kind of judgment due to Jezebel, a woman who turned the entire nation into idol worshipping and allowed darkness to fall upon the land. With that, Julius then began to tell a story that was close to home, about Kenya, the most peaceful nation in Africa in the year 2005. “When we were told that judgment was coming, many people did not believe in it,” he shared. He then went on to say that when the time of elections came in the year 2007, there were a lot of ethnic tensions between many tribes, an event that they would never have thought would break out. “Child of God, do not take the prevailing peace in your country for granted, the Spirit of slumber always covers our eyes so that we do not see the critical moments that we are going through,” shared Julius. He then urged everyone to stand up and pray that the spirit of slumber will be removed from our eyes!
“It is God's desire to revive His Church, individuals, territories and nations! Before transformation can come, there has to be a beginning,” said Julius. The greatest form of leadership is the leadership of influence, and not the leadership of power! “If it’s just about power, then people will follow just because they fear your power; but if you have influence, people will follow you because they love you,” he shared. A great example of a leadership of influence is that of Jesus Christ. It is of extreme importance that people do not only focus on the one face of God, and that is the grace of God. “God is a God of mercy, and love but He is also the God of judgment,” he shared.
When a nation constantly walks in a path of wickedness and constantly refuses to respond to the prophets of the nation (e.g. callings, prophecies, warnings), then the Lord will begin to send prophets from far to bring the message. “When God begins to do that, then that is now a dangerous precedent because it means that the nations weighing scale of judgment is beginning to go higher and higher,” said Julius. It is important that the people of the nation begins to listen when they begin to receive these messages and signals of this critical times. To some people, the critical moment ended with elections, and they are waiting for 2018 to rise up again. You are in a season of jubilee, jubilee is not just a year. “A season can be three, five, or six years so though the year has gone, you are still within that season; and in this kind of season a national revival can break out. That is God's desire of restoring back the land,” he shared. In this crucial time, it depends on how the Christhood responds to the season.
Julius then began to share about the importance of separation and prayer, and how it is able to bring people into perspective. “Separation will bring us into another realm of revelation concerning divine strategies that God wants to give us. For example, when Moses separated himself, he saw the pattern of the tabernacle,” he shared. One of the greatest blessings that can come through separation is the ability of God to deal with your heart, so that He can transition you into new levels of relationship, which comes with it, a new anointing, new authority, and new revelations. The spirit of God moves like a wave. “When a wave begins to move, it usually begins at the deepest part of the sea and then it comes moving. This wave can move for some time without people knowing that is it actually moving. By the time the wave begins to manifest itself, it is actually about to reach the end of the journey and that is when you will see so many manifestations. Child of God at the time, people will begin to say, 'Wow the anointing on you is so great!' However, know that at that point the anointing is coming to an end, and you will need to swim back to the sea against the tide in the realm of another spirit to collect another wave which will take us to another level,” shared Julius. Understand that no matter how strong the wave is, it will eventually lose its power.
Those who sail on the sea in ships, who do business on the high seas, have seen what the LORD can do, the miracles he performed in the depths of the sea. (Psalm 107:23-24)
Don’t wait for someone to move you into fasting. “Have the practice of initiating times and seasons of seeking the Lord… and God will give you the grace and anoint you,” he said. The Holy Spirit often wakes people to pray but He does not always do that. People need to make their own initiative in terms of prayer, and that is what greatly pleases the Lord! Julius recalled the time when he fasted for 21 days; at that time, the Lord gave him so many breakthroughs. His fasting was not without the feeling of hunger, for he was constantly hungry, but God gave him the grace and strength to come out stronger once he completed it! Many men of God have achieved great success and revelation after fasting fervently; it is one of the miracles, signs and wonders of God.
