In Exodus 12:13, God said “And the blood shall be a token upon the houses where you are: AND WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt”.
For the children of Israel, the blood was their protection. The blood was their purging. The blood was their deliverance.
The blood purged Israel from the pain and sorrow of their past. In just one night the blood set the captives free.
You know what? Every single descendant of Abraham under the protection of God, walked out from the bondage of Egypt by the blood of the lamb. Every single one of them was healed. Every single one of them was delivered. Every single one of them was blessed. You know what? The angle of death passed by every house but when he saw the blood he passed over them.
Remember we are talking about a people who were not even purchased with the blood of Jesus. Yet they were neither inflicted nor afflicted by the things that were inflicting and afflicting the Egyptians.
The blood in Exodus 12 is a type; it’s a symbol of the blood of Christ.
Leviticus 17:11
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.“
Jesus’ blood was not ordinary blood like the blood of any human being. His blood was the precious blood because His blood originated from God. His blood was the only blood that could wipe out sin and break the curse on the human race completely and totally.
Jesus.. when He died on the cross.. not only shed His blood for the forgiveness of your sins but also for your overall well-being and protection, everything that is connected to sustaining your well being here in this earth. Perfect in every respect! Perfect in every aspect! That simply means you can live a victorious Christian life and don’t have to struggle in your Christian life.
Isaiah 53:4-6
“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering,
Yet we considered him punished by God stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
There was a divine exchange that took place on the cross. You are therefore protected against all the destroying forces of satan. When Satan and his demons see Jesus’ blood applied upon your life.. you know what? … they must pass over you. They cannot touch you because they cannot touch anyone covered by the blood of Jesus.
THE BLOOD IS YOUR PURCHASING AGENT
Now that you understand that you are purchased by His own blood, you must also understand the power of the blood and what the blood has done for you in your life. Unfortunately many Christians do not fully understand the power of this blood and as a result they are groping around in the dark unable to walk in the blessings of the blood of Jesus. When you are unable to live in the power of the blood then your victory in Christ is incomplete.
You know what? Christians don’t realize how much they are missing by this limited understanding about the power of the blood of Jesus.
This obviously is the greatest setback that limits the children of God from appropriating the full blessing and power of the blood of Jesus.
You must understand what happened not only when the blood was shed for you but also what happened when the blood was sprinkled and applied onto your life. Many of us have never really understood the power of the blood of Jesus and what that power can do for you!
The devil can’t legally touch you. The devil cannot legally harm you. You belong to the son of the most high God. Therefore you can depend on God to keep you safe. You are his possession. You need to know this truth and walk in the truth.
You know what? The blood of Jesus will push back every power of darkness! The blood of Jesus will nullify and cancel every scheme and plan, the enemy is trying to throw at you. The devil has to run away when you apply the blood of Jesus upon your life.
Jesus: Mediator of a Better Covenant (Hebrews 8:6-13)
But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the Mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
Now listen very closely. If you can see how the power of the blood worked under an inferior covenant, what will the blood of Jesus do for you today?
Israel served an angry God – a God of justice. A God who demanded death for the wages of sin. The blood of bulls and goats were sacrificed as a covering for the forgiveness of the sins of the people over and over again. You cannot stand before God without blood. No high priests could appear into the holy presence of God without the blood.
The people were always reminded of their guilt that they were sinners even though they offered the blood of bulls and goats continuously. You see the blood of bulls and goats were not able to sanctify and justify the people completely. It was merely a temporary covering.
No wonder their hearts were running after idolatry all the time. The blood of goats and bulls were never able to deal with the wicked heart of man, the root of sin.
Heb.10:12,
But this man (Jesus) after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. It is the blood of Jesus that finally infiltrated the heart of sinful man. It is this blood that finally worked from the inside out of man. It is this blood that finally was able to touch the root of sin and cleansed us completely. It is this blood that silenced the accuser once and for all.
Col 1:21-22:
“Yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight”
It is through the blood of Jesus that was shed for us on the cross that we receive real forgiveness of sins. It is through the blood of Jesus we receive acceptance into the presence of God. That blood was shed for us once for all. This blood satisfied the law of God which required a penalty for breaking the law. We have now been justified by His blood! We have now been sanctified by His blood! We have now been cleansed and purified by His blood! We have now been healed by His blood. We have now been protected from the destroying powers of Satan.
The blood is a lethal weapon available to us against the enemy for all those who believe in the power of the blood. The devil has no legal right to touch us. The devil has no right to condemn us! Every curse has been broken! Every wall that stood against us has been demolished! We have been redeemed (purchased back from slavery) and the price that was paid for us. The greatest price in all human history ever paid for you and me is the blood of Jesus. He gave all He had to buy you back.
No weapon formed against you will ever prosper if you come under the blood.
The blood has lifted you out of your curse that was destroying you all your life. The blood has lifted you out of your poverty that depleted AND STOLE everything from your life. The blood has lifted you out of your shame! The blood has healed you from all your diseases and your sickness that satan has inflicted and afflicted upon your life.

This Article/Message as written by Rev. Dr. Jai Kumar is so easy to click ‘I LIKE’, for it establishes for us yet again, the ‘Miraculous and Divine Power’ in the ‘Blood of JESUS’. This Power has the Divine authority to bringing down all sort of strongholds afflicting us when applied in our lives, as the devil engages against us from time to time, which none other can succeed. It also epitomizes what the Heb 10:11 Scripture informs us that every Priest before JESUS had come into Ministry, stood ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which could never take away sins.
Heb 10:12-14 then revolutionizes this serious set back of all Priest since the OT times crossing over also shortly into the NT times, when it reveals to us as it reads: 12 But this MAN, after HE had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of GOD. 13 from that time waiting till HIS enemies are made HIS footstool. 14 For by one offering (that is HIMSELF on the Cross and shedding HIS Blood for all Mankind) He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified (set apart).
And the revolution is concluded as in Heb 10:18 as follows: Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
This simply meaning that GOD ALMIGHTY has no more requirement for the Priests to continue these offerings of bulls and goats. For as Heb 10:4 reveals emphatically as follows – For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. And so it is easy to conclude, that it is only by the Power, the Wonder working Power in the Blood of JESUS, that has made all of this possible i.e. to take away our sins, and also provide us the protection from every evil and every fiery dart hurled at us by our enemies.
Thank YOU dear LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST for what YOU had done for ALL MANKIND for all time. The era of animal sacrifices is now long over since the Cross.
And this is also why Rev. Dr. Jai Kumar says with the greatest confidence, having I am sure, experienced first hand the Power in the Blood of JESUS, that if only people come to know about this Wonder working Power in the Blood of JESUS, they would stop all their futile pursuits and follow JESUS, the LORD and Saviour of the World for their eternal Salvation in HIM. This is the central message that comes out loud and clear in his Article – The Power of the Blood of JESUS.
And what a good timing for this Article to be published as we are nearing the Passion Week once more which commences from March 29th till Resurrection Sunday on the 5th of April, which certainly would remind us yet again what JESUS had done for all Mankind in the shedding of HIS BLOOD through the Cross.
