“I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up in weak people.” (2Corin 12:9a LB)

THE WORLD’S EXPECTATION OF PERFECTION IS A DELUSION
The world tries to rationalize a lot of things with mathematical and rocket science. They have a mindset of understanding about how we should look like. Often they try to squeeze us into their culture and mould. As a result we become a victim of their target of opinions. Especially as Christians they expect perfection form us. They think if we are in Christ we should be sailing on a bed of roses and nothing should happen to us.

GOD IS BEYOND THEIR UNDERSTANDING

There is something that we need to understand in the Kingdom of God, which is that God loves to use weak people. Seriously speaking, no matter who you are, the fact of the matter is that, in reality everyone has weaknesses. It can either be emotional, intellectual or spiritual it doesn’t matter! It is through your weakness that strength and character is developed.

But you know what? Sadly, God is not able to use a lot of people today because of our ignorance of who God is in our lives. We have limited Him in our thinking and opinion. As a result we deny our weaknesses. We defend them! We excuse them! We hide them! And we resent them, because we buy into what the scientific world is selling us.

HIS WAYS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OUR WAYS

So often we have mistaken God’s ways by trying to intellectualize Him with our own clever wisdom. But God says:

“My thoughts and my ways are higher and different from yours.”(Isaiah 55:9)

In the eyes of the so called “wise- world,” you may look very silly when they see your weaknesses but God says: I will take the foolish things of the world to shame the wise (1 Cor 1:27).  Therefore, some of your weaknesses are deliberately allowed by God for the very purpose of demonstrating His power through you and enabling you to get a clearer and bigger picture of Him.

Job was a typical example where God allowed his affliction and liberated Job out of his boxed opinion of God. That Job could say in Job 23:10: when he has tested me, I will come out like gold.

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him – Job.13:15

Although we may not be perfect, the thing that is different about us, is that we have the grace of God available to us to overcome our weaknesses, problems and challenges that we face in life.

My grace is sufficient unto you  for my power will perfect all your weaknesses.. (2 Cor.12:9)

I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me” Philippians 4:13.

GOD IS NEVER LIMITED BY YOUR LIMITATION

The Bible says, we are like common pottery, fragile and flawed and breakable! But God will use us if we allow Him to do so.  Remember, God is never limited by our limitations.  When we stop trying to perform, pretending to be perfect and become honest to ourselves He will pour out His supernatural power into you to fulfil His purpose.

GOD WANTS YOU TO DEPEND UPON HIM TOTALLY

Paul says:

” I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.” (2 Cor 12:7)

Paul said; ”when I am weak then I am strong”  In other words what he is actually trying to convey  here is that my weaknesses enables me to depend upon my God for the enabling strength.

GOD CAN TURN YOUR WEAKNESSES AROUND FOR HIS GLORY

You know what? Your greatest miracle in your ministry will come out of your deepest weakness in your life, if you learn to totally depend upon God for your strength and enablement. God is going to use you to do great exploits for Him.

GOD IS NOT ASKING FOR YOUR ABILITY

In the course of my ministry I have come across a lot of people who have been procrastinating to make themselves available as an instrument of God. People of great ability and gift are wasting away their lives because of wrong thinking that has mesmerised them to believe that you need to be perfect before God can use you. It’s a lie of the devil! And this has apparently crippled many and made them unproductive in the kingdom of God.  May I say to you today, you will never find that perfect person in this world.  It will merely be a dream and delusion.

Only God is perfect and holy!.

Heb.7:28: For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

GOD KNOWS WHO WE ARE

You know what? And besides, God is not expecting that from you! Neither is He looking for perfect people unfortunately! Because He knows He can never find one.  But rather, God is looking for that person who despite his weaknesses is willing to say:”I want to be used of God.”

We come under the convent blessings of Abraham today because of one man, who despite his weaknesses obeyed the CALL of God in his life.

“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” [Galatians 3:29 NKJV]

Listen! All the great men in the Bible that God was able to use mightily were not perfect super humans. They were initially weak and imperfect people yet they had a heart of character to be honest, humble and teachable. What is God saying to you today!?
