Jesus was in anguish as the time approached for Him to die a torturous death. He experiences grief, sorrow, and a desire that the future not play out as He expects it will. The Bible says He was in such agony that His sweat became blood and so He pleaded with His Father if there was a plan ‘B’ whereby the cup could be removed from him. Nevertheless God did not have another plan or another way to rescue you and me except to give up His only sinless soul of His son who was without blemish to take our place.
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John.3:16
Christ’s blood cleanses us from all our sins! Without the blood there is no forgiveness of sins! (Heb.9:22). It is a shame that Christians have removed their focus from the blood of Jesus these days. Jesus is not just a moral teacher! Jesus is not just a good example! He is the “lamb of God who was slain in our place “, whose blood cleanses us from all our sins!
As the scripture says, “…we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Eph. 1:7). We have been bought back. The price has been paid and it is through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Peter reminds us of this when he says,
“For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold… But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” (1 Peter 1:18-19).
LOVE SO AMAZING
What did God see in you and me that was so special and precious that He had to give up His only beloved Son in place of us? What was this LOVE that was so overwhelming? What was this AMAZING LOVE that saved a wretch like me? Indeed it is beyond the understanding of the human intelligence that theologians are still cracking their heads, unable to comprehend fully this mystery of God’s love for the human race.
THE CHRISTIAN FAITH WILL BE ANOTHER RELIGION WITHOUT THE CROSS
Take the cross out of Christianity, it becomes a dead religion. Therefore, without the cross we have nothing left. Without the cross it’s simply another ritual. If you preach the gospel of Christ without the cross you are preaching an empty gospel. The cross is the POWER. Because of the cross we have eternal life. The bible says he that believeth on the son has life and he who believeth not is dead already.
Rom.6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master because you are not under the law but under grace.
Therefore the only message that you and I are suppose to preach is the message of the CROSS and that is the greatest message in all of this earth.
We have abundant life through the cross. We have divine healing through the cross. We have the riches of Abraham through the cross. We have peace with God through the cross. That peace that was lost in the garden has been restored back through the cross. However, we are living in an era where the message of the gospel is shifting from the TRUTH. Churches, and even whole denominations, are unfortunately moving away from the original message of the cross through the blood of Jesus, and apparently moving towards a message of salvation through social activism and good works. Amazingly people are found to be very comfortable sitting in such an environment.
The Law is NOT the gospel. If God’s blessings depended only on keeping the Law, we would be eternally cursed. Israel repeatedly broke the Law, and the wrath of God’s judgment came upon them continually. God, for fifteen hundred years, demonstrated through Israel to the world that people are not saved by the Law because no one could up keep the Law.
Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Paul says in Romans, once you were married to the law but now after Jesus came, He put an end to the law through that one sacrifice and freely offered His grace to you. You are now married to grace through faith.
But you know what? The devil is very subtly creeping into the minds of believers in churches today with a powerful religious agenda. Sadly even pastors and leaders are not spared in this respect; without even knowing it, the enemy has infiltrated and taken over their minds. Satan the God of this world, sows seeds of deception in your mind. Slowing drawing you and placing you back into bondage. He will condemn you to believe that you don’t have a right standing with God. And ultimately you will walk around with condemnation and guilt. (2Cor.4:4) Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
YOU WILL BE DEFEATED IF YOU NULLIFY THE CROSS
1 Cor.1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the POWER of God.
Therefore, Paul rebukes the Galatians in Galatians Chapter 3. He says: O’ you foolish Galatians! Are you so foolish? Having began in the Spirit, so quickly you have forgotten and going back to live in the flesh again subjecting yourself under the law and coming under the curse once again. Paul continues, he says: Hey! Listen! We are no longer justified by the law! He reminds us that the Law was put to an end by Jesus paying for you once and for all through that ONE SACRIFICE! That was ABSOLUTE ! TOTAL! PERFECT! AND COMPLETE!
You have been set free into righteousness and blessing by the Grace of God through the blood of Jesus. “The just shall walk by faith!” Why are you going back? Who has taught you to go back into Egypt once again?
Paul is saying in Gal. 5:7: You began well, you ran well but who has bewitched you from obeying the TRUTH? Who has defeated you and brought you back into bondage again when you have been set free by the blood of Jesus? It’s not your going to that will mess you up! It’s what you go back to that you have left behind that will kill you!
The message of Christianity is different from any other religion on earth because it reveals a God who came in search of sinners like you and me, and freely provided salvation for us as a gift.

Yes, God gave his son (there are so many god son in The Bible), surely He is not stupid His ‘only’ son not to be sacrificed !
Dr. Jai Kumar has nailed it again with this message and his quoting of 1 Cor. 1:18 says it all in a nutshell of what is happening in Churches today, where the Cross is even totally removed from the congregation’s sight. Another underhanded success for Satan indeed after the fact of the Resurrection, through instilling misconception by deception and manipulation throughout the World Christian Movement.
For re-emphasis, the Scripture reads as follows: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the POWER of God.
And so a constant reminder of it in our very sight besides the Gospel Message that it underpins so loudly behind it and through it throughout all Creation can only do good for our very soul. Amen.
