Encountering Jesus Christ in Ananda Sitra Healing Rally

18 March 2014 by Adeline Lum CM –

The Prophet Dr Ananda Sitra came to Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya on March 11, for a Miracle-Healing Rally held by the Full Gospel Businessmen (FGB) Fellowship, with an attendance of more than 350 people. Founder of the Ministry of Jesus in India, Dr Ananda drew and blessed thousands upon thousands of people in India with his God-given gifts in healing, prophesying, and deliverance.

Dr Ananda shared how we can expect good things from God because of the great God we have! He shared about his praying rally in Gujarat where he met a man amidst the 300,000 crowd with a nine-inches right leg tied to a stick.

Stirred with compassion for this soul, Dr Ananda challenged this man to repeatedly say that Jesus is his one and only God whose precious blood saved his soul, during his three-hour journey home. And if he truly honors God, God will honor him by growing his shorter leg into the normal length.

The next day, this man with two wholesome legs, brought many people with him to the praying rally. Turned out, he was a charismatic leader of another faith.

We can also expect great things from God because He is a God who is always working (John 5:17). Just look at His governance over the Heavens and our massive universe; we would know how busy God is!

He has to manage trillion of archangels and seraphim, direct 500 billion galaxies, and hundreds of billions of stars in each galaxy. And compared to the universe, our earth is truly only a tiny speck. Just look at the Milky Way; it has between 200 and 400 billion of stars, where the sun is only a medium-sized star or G-dwarf-star among these stars. Yet, the sun is 100 times bigger in diameter than the earth, which is one million times bigger than Earth! What magnificent creation of the sky God made and orchestrated, all by the blow of His breath, Dr Ananda shared.

Yet, although earth is so small, God took notice of us—even coming down to form us from dust in His own image (Gen 1:26; Gen 2:7). Who are we to be considered by Him? Thus, it is our bounded duty to be humble before Him because God draws near and stays in a broken heart.

Isaiah 57:15 says, ‘For this is what the high and exalted One says—he  who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”’

Growing up as an orphan, Dr Ananda understood what a broken heart meant. He shared how he yearned for the unconditional love of God and the true love of a mother. Hence, he attempted suicide multiple times to see if God existed.

But when he was 29 years old, he met Jesus Christ in Heaven after four years of fervent prayer by his believing wife; Dr Ananda spent 18 hours asking Jesus question after question. And when he left his body at 32 year old from jaundice-liver damage and deep coma, he was brought back to life for a mission to save millions of souls who are dying in the world without knowing Christ.

Reviving him back to life, Jesus asked Dr Ananda what gift he wanted during his lifetime on earth. But all Dr Ananda asked is to follow Him. Hence, in every meeting, Dr Ananda would gladly wait for Jesus Christ to come to the prayer and healing meetings and rallies, sometimes visible to a few attendees by the words of their testimonies.

And surely, the appearance of Jesus Christ should demolish death—a fate that no humans albeit their status, wealth, and health—can avoid, shared Dr Ananda. Only when our souls humbly bow down before Jesus Christ and accept Him as the everlasting god, creator, savior, and lover, His Holy Spirit will fall upon us.

Psalm 49:8-9 says, “the ransom of a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—so that they should live on forever and not see decay.” This is because we are made from dust, thus dust shall we return to (Gen 3:19). Hence, when Adam and Eve sinned, they faced first the spiritual death, then physical death. That is why when sin enters the world through Adam and Eve, all of us are sinners and fall short from the glory of God (Romans 3:23), whereby those who sin will surely die (Eze 18:4).

With a sinful nature, our enemy who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) takes every opportunity to plunder and corrupt our mind, thoughts, and character. That is why Jesus Christ handed Himself over to death for us to redeem every lawless deed we commit, so that we can be purified in His Name and become his possession (Titus 2:14). Because of Jesus Christ, we have hope!

Dr Ananda shared how a lady called Leela Vathy from a higher caste found hope in Christ while she was sobbing inconspicuously under a tree amidst a praying rally of 32,000 people. Even though her family was alive, they were spiritually dead (Rev 3:1). Her husband who was an influential officer drank, smoked and partied; so did her two sons. Their actions hurt her conscience as a virtuous woman. But she had no way out until she attended Dr Ananda’s praying and healing rally.

Onstage, she saw Jesus Christ, which gave her a sense of deep peace. And amidst this multitude of people, the Holy Spirit impressed in Dr Ananda’s heart to share the gospel with her. Leela accepted Christ in great joy and went home proclaiming to her family, “I received salvation! Salvation! Salvation enters into our life!” Her elation, which was mistaken as insanity, could bring her death. But her face shone brighter and brighter because of the glory of God. At last, the whole family recognized that her encounter with God was real and came into salvation by Christ.

However, Dr Ananda shared that many religion scholars or professors doubted the truth of the Bible in proclaiming that Jesus Christ is God. They asked Dr Ananda how he knew that the Bible is true. Dr Ananda shared that although the Bible says that men can live until 120 years old (Gen 6:3). But Monaco, which has the highest average life expectancy in the world, recently reported only 89 years old. This age is far less than the age span that God has appointed men for.

Also, another organization reported how our lifespan may not be increasing but paradoxically decreasing. GIDEON—a global infection disease knowledge management organization—reported that the same technology, which causes us to discover and treat new diseases and pathogens, has also contributed to the evolution of diseases themselves. An average of three new diseases is described every two years, and a new infecting organism is published every week. Stress is becoming the number one killer of people in this century.

Even our food and water are contaminated with pollutants and pesticides, which all cause the slow detriment of our health. These factors explain why morbidity and mortality from illnesses are increasing among the younger people, taking off our age span.

Although the lifespan of people may not look promising, Dr Ananda shared that God never intended man to die because He is a living God who is eternal, invisible, and never changing (Psalm 18:46; 1 Tim 1:17; Psalm 102:27).

Also, because God has a good heart that desires to bring into fruition every desire for goodness (2 Thes 1:11), He desires us to share in His Goodness because we are created in His own Image (Gen 1:26).

God never intended sin to creep into our lives and sicknesses to cause us physical death, shared Dr Ananda, but we are created for the purpose of living with God in all eternity. Hence, sicknesses should not have a place in our body. In Christ, we can proclaim healing in every disease, shared Dr Ananda.

The miracle-healing rally spanned four hours that evening in Glad Tidings, interspersed with Dr Ananda sharing about Christ and also healing and praying. Many attendees came forward and flooded the praying station, as he walked and touched each person. At the end of the night, 12 people accepted Christ as their personal savior, where many sang praises to God for healing them in their sicknesses and infirmities.

Truly, because of Christ, we live, not only now but in all eternity with God. (1 Cor 15:45-57)

45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”f ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall weg bear the image of the heavenly man.

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”h

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?”i

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Cor 15:45-57)
