The Overflowing Love of God for the Nations

5th Nov 2012.  By Ezra Chim.  CM –

The Lord is ever calling His faithful people across nations to pray for one another. Simple ordinary people in the Phillipines are responding to the call to prayer and intercession. Their vision is to pray that the nations are filled with the knowledge of the glory of God through prayer revival and spiritual awakening. And the intercessors who volunteered to go forth will have to walk by faith, leaving the comfort of home and just go to a foreign land and set up prayer houses wherever the Lord leads.

They may not be highly qualified or wealthy to do missions afar off, but they just volunteered to go and solely depended on the faithfulness of God who called them out to the nations. The simple hearts are now moving across South-East-Asia, praying and interceding in their prayer houses and with the Church communities who will welcome them into their fellowship.

The ministry of prayer and intercession was birthed by God in the heart of Sister Melba Mendavia who opened a prayer house for pastors and workers to come and pray for revival in the Philippines in the year 2007. This vision of corporate intercession had grown after many years of holding prayer conferences throughout her country.

In early 2012, after seeking God for direction, the Lord began to speak to Melba’s heart to open prayer houses in other South-East–Asian nations as well. Without much funds and not knowing how to start one in a foreign land, there was not much recourse but to pray unceasingly and to trust the Almighty God to open the doors to foreign nations. The breakthrough came when a missionary friend based here shared with Melba the same vision, and that is God is doing a new thing to reach the “unsaved souls” in the surrounding nations.

It became clear to Melba and the team of intercessors that prayer is the key to revival that would lead to worldwide evangelism and harvest before the coming of the Lord! After seven months of prayer and waiting upon the Lord, a missionary friend told Melba to come over because someone is offering her place to become a house of prayer! Praise the Lord!

So in September, 2012, the Frontline for Revival Ministries Asia based in the Phillipines, Melba and two other intercessors, Sisters Vinia and Antonina responded by faith to the call of God who had made a way for them. Today, a prayer apartment was opened for prayer with intercessors coming from her home country and praying for revival in South-East-Asia. It is one of the circuit prayer places to prepare this region for a mighty move of God. Melba is convinced that the Lord is bringing “extraordinary changes” and there will be a great harvest of souls in the coming days. And the team is present and praying continuously and doing “prayer walks in strategic places” wherever the Lord would lead them.

It was an amazing story of how God will use Melba to travel to the nations just to be there with the team in each land to pray and intercede. It all started in 2007 in a very humble beginning, a small and informal prayer meeting in her house in Asingan, Pangasinan, Phillipines. The prayer meetings eventually grew with great favors from leaders, unity among pastors and most importantly God’s strong anointing and presence was upon the meetings. It was from these learning experiences and walking in obedience to the Lord, it became evident now more than ever that the prayer and intercession movement to the nations is an urgent assignment from Almighty God.

Praise the Lord for raising simple people with the heart to pray and intercede for the nations for His glory! It is all about the overflowing love of God for every nation under heaven.

All blessings, glory, honor and highest praises be unto God alone! Amen!
