Greater Expectations – A blessed visit to Kg Rituh

With a Bidayuh speaking translator by him, Ps Gbenga Kotila stood in the hall at Kg Rituh once again. Ps Gbenga from Center for Reality International Church, Ibadan, Nigeria was in Kg Rituh a few years back. Tonight, neighboring visitors from Kg Panchor and Kg Ranchan were also in the meeting.

“We are thirsty for the Word of God. It’s been a long time,” said LR Vincent Paul in front of the crowd, after the praise and worship by St. Fatih’s Church BM group led by Sis Cecelia Reges.

“When you shout hallelujah, every problem goes down. God is visiting Kg Rituh tonight!” Ps Gbenga told the crowd. Reach out to God; I believe you come with greater expectation tonight, he said.

“God will release His blessing, power, anointing, Holy Spirit and fire tonight! Hallelujah!” He continued with reference to Genesis 18:10-14, “Is anything too hard for the Lord (vs. 14)?” and Luke 1:35-37, “For nothing is impossible with God (vs. 37).”

God’s desire is for His people to rest. God does not enjoy His people suffering or continuing in problems at any point in time. God’s desire is to turn the situation around whatever the circumstance. God does not change but He will change circumstances. That’s what God wants to do for every man, no matter the situation, to bring about a change.

“If there’s an entry point, there’s an exit point. If you enter in, you will also exit. If anything starts, it will equally end. If there’s a beginning, there’s an ending. The only thing that has no beginning and no end is God,” he said. Nobody started God and no way will God finish.

God has no beginning and God has no end. God cannot be stopped, but He is the author and finisher of our faith, he said. So, the strength of your faith in God is determined by your believe in God. God declares, “Is there anything too hard for me to do?”

“Things may be impossible for you, but there is nothing impossible for Him! The God I’m preaching to you tonight is not a God you can carry,” Ps Gbenga exclaimed.

He told about the time he was preaching in Miri in 2005. He was passing a burning house, saw a man parking and running into this house. The man ran out carrying an idol image. “So, I asked the man driving me, what did that guy just do? He came to save the image? The image cannot save himself, he cannot save you.”

“You can’t carry a God like that. My God saved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fire. But the image cannot save himself; someone has to save him,” he told. He asked the man, “You saved your god? Why can’t your god save himself? Then your God cannot save you.” Then he told the man, my God saved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. “Really?” the man asked. Yes. When I came back, showed him the bible and told him, “Drop the image that cannot save you. It’s time to embrace the God that can save you,” he said.

My God is not a small God; my God is a big God! Tonight, God is here and He’s going to do great things if you believe, he continued. He told about Sarah who laughed when God said she will have a baby in a year’s time. Why did Sarah laugh? Is there anything too hard for God to do?

In Jeremiah 32:17, “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

Jeremiah 37:27 also says, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

God says, “I’m a God of all flesh. Is there anything hard for me to do?” God is willing to work and make things happen. What are you looking for? What God is looking for is somebody that will hold on to God and say, “Lord, I believe. I believe. I believe.”

Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God …,” We need faith to steer our believe.

In 2 Corinthians 5:7, “We live by faith, not by sight.”

It’s not about what you see; it’s about the God you know. I believe in God. I know God. God is full of power and strength, he said. The bible says to everything under the earth, there is a time for everything.

“God can do anything. Whatever it is you are looking at God for, you are trusting and believing God for, if you stepped out like David, you will get it,” he said.

We serve a God that does not sleep. When I’m sleeping, God is watching me, he said. Do you believe in Him?

There is nobody that believes in God that is put to shame. In the Book of Esther, Mordecai became great. Jairus’ daughter got up. Lazarus was raised from the dead. “Only God can look at death and call it sleep. I like a God that calls death sleep. Those who are asleep in Christ shall rise,” he said.

“Jesus said, I am time; that means, I make time. Whenever God shows up, it is the time. In His time,” he continued. “Jesus says, I am not late, I am the resurrection, I am the life, I am the truth, and I am the Way.”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus said if you believe you will see the glory of God.

In Matthew 9:22, Jesus said, ‘Your faith has healed you.’

To see the glory of God, you need to believe. Believe on the cross, the work of Jesus.

Mark 11:23 says, “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”

That power is in this place. You need to tell the Lord, “Lord I believe.” All God needs to work is believe.

The session ended pass midnight with many coming up for prayer and healing that night. Some gave their lives to Christ. The night also saw deliverance.

The trip to Kg Rituh from Kuching took about half an hour, passing through a hilly, winding road before reaching the main hall. The area is made up of mostly farmers.
