Here's an extract from an article written by a Christian Geologist – "A key argument of creationists is the absence of missing links in the fossil record. They ask why there are not more creatures that are "half this and half that"; if they existed. The fact is that missing links do exist. For instance, Archaeopteryx has features found in both extinct dinosaurs such as its long tail and teeth as well as feathers found in modern birds…." I find it disturbing that a statement of "fact" can be attributed to the existence of missing links when it is an issue of historical science rather than observational science. http://www.answersingenesis.org/get-a…
In addition, he also commented that – "….I, a born-again Christian, can believe in creation and yet teach evolution." From a worldview perspective, creation and evolution are worlds apart!
The real issue is one of authority – is God's Word the authority, or is man's word the authority? So, couldn't God have used evolution to create? The answer is No. A belief in millions of years of evolution clearly contradicts the simple proclamation in Exodus 20:11:
For in six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them"
It doesn't get any clearer than this. The question to ask is not one of missing links, rather misplaced faith.
