Why are core values important? It is because values form the ethos and culture of an organization and eventually affecting its reputation and good name. Hence, core values reflect a commitment to long-term sustainability. There is the common myth that defining and communicating core values is what it takes to build the culture. Communication is great when it comes to branding but when it comes to building the right culture, the key is consistent employee engagement.
