Brian "Head" Welch was the co-founder of one of most popular heavy metal music in the 90's called Korn. His music in Korn was laced with depression and darkness. And he has everything that the world can offer– fame, Grammy Awards, Billboard hits, heavy partying, alcohol and women.
But behind those glamour, he battled with crystal methamphetamines and depression… dying slowly while having his young daughter with him. One day, he hit rock bottom and met Jesus.
How and why… Watch this video for his powerful testimony.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
This video in no way condone taking drugs for it is said:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Yes, your body is precious. Also, there are some things that are not worth trying.
In everything, seek the Word:
Psalm 119:9-16
9How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
10I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
12Praise be to you, Lord;
teach me your decrees.
13With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
Also, pray for wisdom and discernment, which God would generously give you! Just ask.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
