Far far, on a lonely road,
Walked a man with a heavy load.
Whither, old one, are you going?
Asked a stranger , knowing
The traveller’s pain on his shoulder.
Shall I help you? Man repeated louder.
Suddenly the trotter tripped
And fell down and groped.
Stranger helped the fallen,
And eased him of his burden.
“Thank you .” said the traveller.
But he could not see his helper.
He was gone. Who was He?
Leaving his luggage with glee,
The lost soul set free, sang
As he raised his head to thank.
Praise be God, he said loudly,
And continued his journey proudly.
