The birth of Jesus and the events surrounding it are some of the most powerful and life-changing stories in human history. To help people engage with both the story and its meaning, a team from Holy Trinity Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur had broken it down into 12-second blocks. And they will be posting it out on Instagram day-by-day throughout December leading up to Christmas Day!

The project was headed up by actor and director Tan Boon Kit who recently became a Christian. Before writing the script for each video, he hadn’t heard much of the Christmas narrative and so he came with fresh eyes to the story.
“The part of the message that resonated the most within me whilst writing for #12SecondChristmas was that Jesus came from the most humble of origins, yet He came to save us then, now, and forever, for our sins,” said Boon Kit.
The two verses that really impacted him were:
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
(John 1:11-12)
But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.
(Matthew 2:6)
The videos will be posted at 3 PM each day from the 1st to the 25th December.
