Founded by Eunice Barruel in 2010, Malaysia will be participating in the 24-hour Global Day of Worship (GDOW) for the FIRST TIME this year on 12.12.12, together with Christians in 45 countries over six continents!
Revelation 7:9
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.
Come and let us worship God no matter where you are!
Whether you are with your family, cell group, or church, let us worship God not for what He did, or what He is going to do, but WHO HE IS.
There will be no prayers, just PURE WORSHIP—exalting, proclaiming scriptures and psalms, singing praises– to show OUR LOVE TO HIM WHO IS WORTHY

River Of Christ (ROC) Church together with Eaglepoint (Puchong), Christian Life Gospel Centre (Damansara Perdana) and Good Tidings (Shah Alam) will also participate in this event on December 12, 2012 from 6:30-9:30 PM. “Global Day of Worship is a day that unites believers all over the world in worship with different languages and expressions of worship.” said Shamini. People from different ethnics, tribes and languages will come together as ONE BODY IN CHRIST to worship our ONE and ONLY GOD on 1212.12!
Psalm 86:9
All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
Everything we are doing in public worship now leads us to this day (Ps 86:9). Indeed, there is a call to worship now but God is looking for worshippers not just worship.
She also shared how the Holy Spirit led her to worship after several occasions in her life that needed prayer.
Her first infant was born extremely premature at 985 grams. Although he could be discharged upon reaching 1.8 kg, he needed to be placed in ventilator to breathe even at home! His lungs were not born in the same size. Shamini and her husband came home that night with much burden praying to God, but the Holy Spirit said in a clear voice, “Stop praying… Stop praying. Worship God. Worship Him not for what He has done and what He is going to do but Worship Him for who He is.”
But Shamini being a worship leader had no songs in mind to sing at that time! She asked the the Holy Spirit what song to sing and she was prompted again to sing the old song, “I love you Lord and I lift my voice”.
The worries and burden melted away. Worshipping God heals the heart. The next day after taking another x-ray, the doctor told her that her baby boy could be discharged without needing a ventilator! Praise the Lord! “We know worship does wonders and brings along many blessings but this is the very thing that God wants us to do, just love Him and not for the benefits that comes out of praising and worshipping Him” said Shamini. Global Day of Worship is a day to gaze upon His beauty and love Him, not a day to petition.
Let us come together and worship Him for who He is!
