“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear…” 1 John 4:18
THE CHOICE OF YOUR THOUGHTS ARE POWERFUL
The mind is the battlefield, where the battle is worn or lost. Nothing is closer to us than our own thoughts. Therefore, if we can fill our thoughts with what God thinks about us, we will begin to experience peace, joy and victory in our everyday life. You have the ability within you through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit to transform every negative situation that confronts you in your life.
1 John 4:4
” … greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
Romans 8:31
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Remember your battle belongs to God. It’s He who fights the battle for you, because He has paid it all on the cross for you so that you need not have to struggle but instead live a victorious life.
God’s love is a powerful force, one that will take us through even in the most difficult trials into victory. When we experience the love of God in our lives (Rom 5:8), we no longer have to live in fear and uncertainty in our lives.
But you know what? Sadly, a large number of people (Christians) are tormented by wasteful negative thinking about themselves. Very often they are intimidated by the voice of the enemy and fear sets in and the next thing you see the enemy comes in to take control of the situation.
Remember, thoughts can turn into action! Every time a negative thought comes into your mind you need to remind yourself that God loves you no matter what! Because of the righteousness of Christ in you.
REPOSITION AND MOVE FORWARD
Rebuke the devil and start moving forward by thinking according to the Word of God. Remember, that whatever is in your heart will come out of your mouth. The simple rule is, if it’s not good then don’t think it or say it.
You know what? Thoughts and words are containers or weapons that are powerful, either they can be creative or destructive! You see all these events whether positive or negative happens outside you. It cannot impact or affect you unless you make a WILLING CHOICE to allow it to COME INSIDE YOU and affect you emotionally. You are what you are because of what you think in your heart (Prov. 23:7).
A GRATEFUL HEART WILL WALK YOU INTO GODS BLESSINGS
Develop a thankful heart (Psalm.100:4). A person who truly knows God, will find his thoughts filled with praise and thanksgiving. Many people fail to realize that we open doors to the enemy through complaining, grumbling and cursing! The Israelites were left in the desert for 40 years going aimlessly round and round. It was only an 11 day journey to the Promised Land but because they complained and became so ungrateful, they lost their way and perished in the wilderness. Complaining is definitely a wilderness mentality that will prevent us from crossing into the blessings of God.
Medical science is increasingly discovering that many people are physically and emotionally ill and live weak and powerless lives due to this disease called complaining.
You know what? A POWERFUL LIFE cannot be lived without thanksgiving and gratefulness. Complaining in thought or word is a death principle, but being thankful is a life principle!! Be a grateful person not only towards God, but also towards people.
Psalm 34:1
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth”.
