2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
YOUR MIND IS THE BATTLEGROUND
Doubt is the greatest thief of God’s rich blessings. You need to guard your mind against the polluting junk of uncertainty and doubt out there! The philosophy of this world can steal your God-given potential. A person who has doubts shouldn’t expect to receive anything from the Lord (James 1:7).
Doubt if compromised will infiltrate your mind and will bring your self-esteem very low and you become vulnerable to defeat and failure. Those who think failure, will lose their own future. Don’t be a victim of your own environment. Develop an unshakable confidence in God. Believe that the seed of greatness and victory is already deposited in you.
Hebrews 10:35NIV
Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded
YOUR STRENGTH AND VICTORY IS IN THE LORD
Paul said,
Php 4:12-13 NCV
“I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me the strength”
These verses cannot be separated because there is a definite co-relation between experiencing life’s lows and enjoying its highs. Paul is assured that his strength comes from Christ alone to handle every circumstance he encountered.
NEVER ALLOW YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES TO ERODE YOUR CONFIDENCE
Confidence is taking your present situation- whatever obstacle you are facing, whatever disappointments, whatever limitation you are living with, whatever has smashed your dreams, whatever chronic condition wears you down – despite admitting you don’t like it! But yet never saying I can’t cope! Confidence means having the ability to stand up to any test because Christ has made His strength available to you.
2 Cor.12:9
My grace is sufficient unto you for my power will perfect every weakness in you.(paraphrased)
YOUR POWER SOURCE IS GOD’S WORD
The secret is to stay in the Word of God, and draw from it every time and everything which has to do with your happiness, joy, peace, health and your prosperity.
Stop turning back!(2Peter 2:20) Listen! It’s not what you go to in life that will mess you up! It’s what you go back to that will kill you! Whatever you don’t want in your future, get it out in your present! “You become whatever you behold” Too many people are living far below their potential. They have become too complacent and satisfied and thus end up stagnant in their personal growth. That’s not God’s agenda for you at all!
But you know what? God wants you to go further because he is a progressive God. No matter what our circumstances are! No matter where we are! He never wants us to quit growing. You may have achieved a certain level of success but always be reminded, God always brings new challenges! New goals! New dreams! New mountains! for you to pursue.
John 10:10b
I came not only to give life but abundant life.
God wants you to live over and above the average life. No doubt God has blessed you with a lot in the past but you haven’t seen anything real great yet. The best is yet to come!
A DEFEATED MINDSET IS THE ENEMY’S TOOL
You know what? There is nothing worse than a defeated mind-set. The man who talks defeat in the arena of battle will certainly lose.
When David was confronted with Goliath, little did the world knew that he would make it. But David did not see himself small in the face of a huge mountain. He said to Goliath, my God is bigger than your spear, your sword and your huge personality ( 1 Samuel 17:45) Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. David knew the name of his God and with just one sling he killed Goliath. Isn’t that awesome! Who is this God!? That David could say:
Psalms.121:1-3
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills– where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip– he who watches over you will not slumber;
A PASSIVE ATTITUDE WILL DEFEAT YOU
Victory never comes to the passive! A passive person is as good as a person who has no will to face any challenges in life and perhaps no will to live anymore. Life is full of challenges and God has given us the potential strength to exploit every avenue that faces us to be victories. Even as God’s people had to fight through to possess the Promised Land given to them, we too have to fight and conquer to possess our inheritance in Christ.
Always be reminded you are a child of the Most High God. God has invested His own Son in you. You have to make better use of the potential that God has given you. In fact, you have everything you need to fulfill your God given destiny. YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR IF YOU KNOW THE NAME OF YOUR GOD!!
