Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) with all its glory is taking shape as each month passes by like a flash. The construction has been going so well, that the visible changes that can be seen draws Calvary closer and closer to their dream of their ultimate Church, that is the biggest Church in Malaysia and the whole of Asia to be specific. Everything that is, is done so in preparation to allow more people to gather in one place in the pursuit of holistic activities, that is what their unique convention centre is dedicated for. Their vast 600,000 square feet built up stands firmly on a huge 4.9 acre piece of land at Bukit Jalil, in the Southern Part of Kuala Lumpur.
CCC is a non-profit project that is being successfully developed by Calvary Church in line with the principles of the Rukun Negara i.e to cultivate spiritual values, right morals and good behaviour while keeping our social and civil responsibility. It is strategically located close to established institutions as well as the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club, as well as easily accessible.
Now prepare yourself for what it will contain. When the centre if officially complete, it will contain within it a sub-dividable 5000 seat auditorium, a stage with facilities for theater and musical productions, including a fly-tower and orchestra pit, it will contain state of the srt audio-visual and multimedia equipment, backstage facilities (dressing rooms, lounge, prayer hall), dance, arts, and drama training/ rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and of course seminar and workshop rooms.
In addition to that it will also have educational facilities such as lecture halls, class rooms, an adult library, a children’s library, and nursery care to cater to people ranging from different age groups. On top of that all, the convention centre will also have counseling rooms, a covered entrance plaza, a multi-purpose community/recreational banquet hall, administrative offices, hostel and guest apartments, a garden sanctuary, a cafeteria, and even a bookshop. All these facilities will be situated on top of a 3 level basement car park.
This building seems like a dream as so many are at awe, and all of it is due to God’s grace through the faith of many that have come together before Him. Calvary’s wish is to host international, regional and national conventions, banquets, seminars, musical and creative arts productions, as well as the provision of educational and vocational training, including the spiritual development that will develop the nation’s younger generation, all in this in one building.
The Church has big hopes to be an inspiration and a benefit to all in Malaysia and beyond, to care and share to those who are without hope and to declare God’s love and His faithfulness to mankind. Once again, as mentioned in the previous article written on Calvary Church, the Church is expecting and hoping that they will be able to hold their Good Friday and Easter services at CCC as soon as next year. The cost of CCC is approximately RM 200 million and the Church has already raised a lot of money for constructions but they still need a little more help for the completion of the whole CCC. Those who would like to see their completion and help them achieve it can help make a difference today by contributing in kind or giving a monetary donation in support of the construction of the Calvary Convention Centre.
