‘Elevate Worship’ Without Rules

On 7th and 8th of June, the Worship and Creative ministry under Eaglepoint Church by the name of '1 a.m.' held a two-day praise and worship conference, called the ‘Elevate Worship Conference’.

Mark 12:30

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Why worship? 1 a.m. or One Accord Ministry realized that apathy, like a growing disease, is spreading amongst believers in churches today. Hence, to bring back the original way of how God wants us to worship Him with everything we have (Mark 12:30), ‘Elevate Worship Conference’ is held to teach worship teams of various churches on how to elevate God in the Spirit.

Why is it important to elevate Him during worship? John 12:32 said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.’ In other words, when we elevate Jesus Christ in praises and worship, God promised to draw close to us at the supernatural realm!

The two-day conference was strictly not-technical, filled with worship, the word, and also lessons to channel our energy in pursuing God. During worship, no rules should be abided but everyone was free to jump, walk, dance, kneel or lie down on the floor in their encounter with The Lord. Not only that, two artists also painted in the Spirit to worship God!

At the last night of the worship conference, everyone worshipped the Lord with complete abandonment, led by the brilliant worship team who totally submitted to the Holy Spirit. Compared to secular music, the musicians and singers built on each other and harmonized with one another like how a jazz band would play. The presence of the Lord was so thick that a conference attendee testified on-stage of the Lord’s presence.

“Last night, I saw goldas (gold sprinkles) on my arm. I did not believe it and looked at it a few times, but they were still there every time I looked,” said Ivy. God’s presence was real like how Moses’ face was radiant after encountering God in Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:34-35).

Prayers were answered, chains were broken, and people were healed from their past hurts. The ‘Elevate Worship Conference’ showed us a glimpse of how a powerful worship is like, when we worshipped God with all our heart, soul, mind and might!

“Yesterday night, the worship was the loudest. But today, the worship was the most lively!” said Kelvin Lim, director and founder of the 1 a.m., in describing the joy of the attendees who jumped and danced to the worship music.

The ‘Elevate Worship Conference’ demonstrated a two-way fulfilling relationship. While God desires us to worship Him, we also desire to worship God to fulfill our need to worship.

And akin to witnessing a breathtaking scenery, encountering the Lord provoked a natural response to appreciate and praise His captivating beauty. Let us elevate The Lord from now on, in everything we do. You don’t want to miss a powerful encounter with Him!
