Gen.37:3
Israel loved Joseph ….and he made him a coat of many colors.
Joseph's story is told about the two coats that he wore. One was the coat of favor, the other was the coat of persecution,
The Bible says that Jacob loved his son Joseph more than the other children and therefore he made him a coat of many colors.
FAVOUR OF GOD
That coat apparently symbolized the special favor that was upon Joseph all his life. Favor surrounded Joseph everywhere, in prison as well as in the eyes of Pharaoh. Five times in one chapter alone, we read: "The Lord was with Joseph." That's real Favor!!!
THE SCHEME OF THE ENEMY
But you know what? The favor of God doesn't exempt us from the attacks of the enemy. Although God has a plan to bless you and favor you, the enemy too has a plan to try to stop that plan from materializing in your life.
Gen.39:6-12
Joseph was handsome…..and ….his master's wife….said 'Come to bed with me!' But he left his coat in her hand and ran as she tried to grab him.
Joseph had a character that was beyond reproach despite being a slave.
God's plan was to save a nation through Joseph. The enemy will use whatever he can to pull you down and derail you from fulfilling your God-given destiny.
THE BATTLE BELONGS TO GOD
You need to understand that whatever you are battling in your life God is fighting on your behalf. You see, the battle isn't about you alone! It’s about God's agenda! It’s about God's destiny! To bless you and through you bring blessings to others. This is how Joseph blessed his brothers despite what they did to him earlier on in his life. Joseph said to his brothers :
Gen.50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Similarly, God blessed Abraham and made him a blessing to all the nations of the world. God said to Abraham if you will obey me and come with me I will empower you to prosper, and through your prosperity, you will become a blessing to all the nations of the world.
You know what? Satan will always offer you the pleasure of a moment in exchange for the high privilege of fulfilling God's will. Unfortunately, this is the area in which many potentially gifted men of God have been disqualified and defeated. Paul speaks of being controlled by the Spirit – whereby God helps us to overcome the flesh.
YOUR UNCOMPROMISING CHARACTER WILL STIR HEAVEN INTO ACTION
What makes you so different from the rest?! Joseph said, ‘No!’ to Potiphar's wife! That indeed moved the hand of God in his favour although initially Joseph went through unjustified persecution. Can you imagine a slave and a prisoner becoming second in command of a civilization that was so advanced in those days? That is favour!
The world needs people who cannot be bought! Who put character above wealth! And who will not compromise with wrong! This is what that will ultimately rescue this world which has lost its way and heading towards eternal damnation.
God is our anchor. God is our hope and salvation. Gods's nature never changes! What you are facing right now is not the conclusion. Get back into focus! Walk with God and live only by His standards and for His Glory. He said: "Be holy for I am holy" You bet! God will fulfill His destiny in your life.
Romans 8:31
If God is for you who can be against you!

Praise the Lord, thank you for encouraging words. It is true that we have to follow God’s way. Amen.
