Matthew 4:4,
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
“The proceeding Word will cause you to proceed,” said Ps Gbenga Kotila at the City SIB church here recently. “Everytime God’s Word comes to you, you move forward and closer to God,” he added. Ps Gbenga Kotila, from Centre for Reality International Church, Ibadan, Nigeria, speaks to the church regularly during his stay in Kuching.
2 Corinthians 3:18,
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
“Open your heart with expectation; there will be manifestation,” he said telling, “Don’t come casually or religiously,” he said.
Proverbs 25:2-3,
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.”
See also 1 Corinthians 2:9-16.
“Everybody who comes here today comes with different desires. We are made up of diverse things, seeking different expectations to our circumstances,” he said. “Whatever you’re feeling about, it’s all in the past,” he added.
Romans 8:28,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
“Things will work to favor you; God will work things out for you,” he continued illustrating, “There are three things in the car that cannot mix together – fire, water, and oil.” But the air-conditioner stays cool because all is working together for good.
“God works that way. It takes the good, the bad and the ugly; and still comes for your good,” he explained. “It doesn’t matter what happens in the past. He knows your sunrise and sunset; He’s the God who made you.”
“We are kings and priests. He’s not talking about the kings of the earth. Everybody is on a search; God will make sure we find it,” he said.
The search of Joseph brought him to a point where they sold him, but took him to a place where God fulfilled his dream.
“God is not in the business of repair but of replace,” he said. If Toyota has spare parts, God has spare parts!
Isaiah 53:1,
“Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Whose report do you believe? Doctors are not who created this body.
“Everybody is searching for something. God can show up in anybody’s situation,” the pastor said telling, “You are a seed generation.”
Psalm 22:30,
“A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation.”
The grace of God will single you out, he said. Saul was searching for his father’s house. “If you stop on the search, you will miss your greatness. Every man’s search is attached to the fulfillment of his vision and dream,” he said continuing, this generation is not about discovery. Recovery will never be possible.
Matthew 7:7-8,
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
“We are in the business of searching. If you don’t find it, it can’t be found,” he said.
Matthew 7:24,
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
The storm will test where you’re standing. For each problem there’s a testimony coming up! Cheers! For each testimony, there’s a search. “You need cheerleaders who will push you. Stop walking around with people who said you can’t do it. I can do it through Christ!” he called. When you stop, the enemy wins; when you move, you win. Search and birth greatness!
Matthew 13:11,
“He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.”
“If the devil is powerful, by now he would have taken over from God. If you allow ignorance in your life, you become a victim,” he said.
Hosea 4:6,
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
“Jesus said, ‘you will know the truth and the truth will set you free,’” he said. Why worry? Make your request known.
Philippians 4:6,
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;”
“God said, ‘let Me fight for you and watch;’ not you fight and I watch!” On the cross of Calvary, He cancelled the curse. He crossed it out. He became poor so we can become rich. Have you ever seen anyone be in poverty to make you rich?
1 Corinthians 15:55,
“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
“When you searched to a point, you catch the power,” he said. “You are here for a search; you are searching for something God has put in your life.”
2 Corinthians 4:6,
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”
You can’t be great in another person’s work! God does not do reincarnation. You die once and after that judgment.
Matthew 16:16,
“Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
“The moment you catch the revelation of Christ, He gives you the keys. He changes your person, just like Simon to Peter, the rock or revelation.
1 Corinthians 2:7,
“No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.”
“The devil did not know but you must know. You need to search it out; if not, you become a wonderer. If you search it out; you become a wonder,” he said.
Isaiah 61:1,
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,”
Jesus searched His own. He closed the book so you could search your own. The spirit of God is unlimited. “When you search, you know. When you know, the demons know you know. When you search and find, the devil knows you searched and found,” he added saying, those who know are strong in exploit.
“He wants to see the exploit of your faith. When you know, you can’t be victimized,” he said. The reason the enemy is cheating you is because you do not know. When the devil has the last say, he won; just like in the Garden of Eden. David knew and Goliath died. He spoke last and won.
“In the wilderness, Jesus spoke last and He won saying, ‘It is written,’” he said. If it’s what you searched, it is written that makes you win. “You need to know what is written of you,” he said. “When you search, you win. The Word of God is powerful. Jesus said ‘the Words I speak to you are spirit and life.’”
Ps Gbenga Kotila continued with prayer and healing for the people at the City SIB, Kuching. The church also celebrated Elder Lian Paran’s birthday. Ps Gbenga is a senior pastor and teacher of the Word.
