Tabuan Jaya Anglican Church held the “Miracle Healing Encounter” night services on the 5th to 6th October, 2012 at the church here in Kuching, Sarawak. The event theme was “Let God’s Healing Overflow” from Psalm 103:1-3. Pastor Amos Jayaratnam, his wife, Pastor Christina, and their team from the Academy of the Prophetic Church, Singapore, was here to share God’s message.

The pastor shared from John 11:9, “Jesus answered, ‘Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world’s light.’” He explained the way Jesus is explaining the spiritual truth by the natural fact.

“Sometimes people can be Christians but never have a relationship with Jesus. Jesus has a relationship with the Father,” he said. He also mentioned that for a breakthrough to happen, we need to re-dedicate our lives to Jesus.

“Jesus follows God will,” he added. He explained further from John 11: 1-3, where Lazarus became sick and his sisters sent word to Jesus. John 11: 3 says, “Lord, the one you love is sick.” In this relationship, they expected Him to come because they have a special connection with Him, and they are first priority.

“They have a relationship with Jesus, and Jesus is in a relationship with the Father,” he said. “We need to have a relationship with our Creator,” he added. “Most of the time, we want the miracles, but we don’t want a relationship with Jesus,” he continued. “This connection is so important. You need to hear the word, and Jesus is the word.”

In John 11:2-6, Pastor Jayaratnam stressed why timing is so important and walking in His will is so important. “God will take you at the right time and at the right place,” he said. He highlighted that we should walk where He says, that is walking in the light and not stumble.

He then stressed the importance for the pastor and church committee must be led by the Spirit so they will not stumble. “Make a commitment to walk with Jesus. He provided the way so you won’t stumble, get sick or be lost,” he added.

“If you enjoy this relationship with God, you can tell others. Jesus is very personal,” he said. John 11:35 says, “Jesus wept”, because of unbelief; the disciples were scared of being stoned, and Martha and Mary. John 11:39-40 says, ’Take away the stone,’ He said. ‘Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?’

“God wants to take away everything that holds us back and all our bondages,” he said before ending his sermon. The night of the event saw many people responded to the altar call and many received salvation and healing.

Pastor Amos Jayaratnam also preached during the Sunday service 7th October 2012 at Tabuan Jaya Anglican Church, and later conducted a Prophetic Ministry session before leaving for Singapore that evening.
