If there’s one thing that all of us need to do everyday, it is to communicate. Of course, you can say that, “I don’t have friends.” But don’t you need to buy food? Even in the absence of a person, don’t you still have internal dialogue with yourself?

I wonder if you have these kinds of experiences—“Oh dear, I forgot to tell him regarding this” or “I should have talked to her but I totally forgot”?

I believed that all of us have forgotten talking or communicating with someone, especially when we are busy. At least… I have. There were times I cannot even recall my intention of calling my friends when they picked up my calls. Yes, this may sound funny to you but that really happened!

Recently, I received a simple text message from a friend. It is an important reminder for me to be mindful of God. I hope that this message from God is an encouragement to some of you as well.

My dear,

This morning, when you woke up, I was just beside you, hoping that you will speak to Me, even if it’s only a few words. Perhaps, you can ask Me about something or simply give thanks for what happened yesterday. But I realized that you were very busy once you got out from your bed. You were busy looking for your clothes. So, I decided to wait for you.

When you were busy walking around your room, looking for things and preparing to leave your house to work, I know that you actually have a few minutes to say “Hi” to Me. Still, you were too busy. After that, you were sitting on the chair, doing nothing for ten minutes. Suddenly, you stood up, I thought you are going to talk to Me, but you went to your cellphone and called your friends.

Seeing you going off to work, and I had patiently waited for one day, I can see how busy you were. During lunch hour, you looked around. Perhaps, you felt embarrassed talking to me, so you did not say grace before your meal. You saw a few of your friends saying grace before they had their meal. But you were unable to do that. It’s okay. You didn’t have to hurry. I am still looking forward to hear from you.

You went home after work, but you seemed to be busy too. After finishing a few things, you switched on the television. I didn’t know whether you really liked those programs because you continuously switched the TV channels. You spent a lot of time, sitting in front of the TV, doing nothing but simply stare at the TV. I am still patiently waiting for you.

After dinner, you were still not talking to Me. When it was time for bed, I guess you must be exhausted. You ran to your bed right after greeting your family members.

Well, never mind, I guess that is because you were not aware that I was by your side all the time. My patience for you is far more than what you could ever imagine, I even wanted to teach you how to be patient to others.

I love you, and I will always do. I am waiting for you to say “Hi” to Me, pray to Me, think of Me, or even just say thank you to Me from the bottom of your heart. But still, it seems hard for you to talk to Me…

You woke up again this morning. And you wake up every morning. I will be still waiting for you to spare me some time. Have a good day.

Love,

Your dear Heavenly Father.

Someone once said, “No one is busy in this world, but it is only a matter of priorities. The fact is you will always find time for the things that you feel most important.” Indeed, this is true. Have you talked to our loving God who is patiently waiting for you today?

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:12)

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. (Psalms 145:18)

Jesus loves you. Be blessed!
