Participants employed different creative methods, with some writing lyrics themselves and using AI for composing or rearranging the music.

One participant used AI to create short videos for a written media ministry website, while another shared how AI re-arranged a Christian music he had written over two decades ago, which is now used as a worship song before the close of a worship session. A youth minister, following a study of the Book of Exodus, organized a group of young people to compose seven pieces of Christian music based on the scriptures. Additionally, an Indonesian participant generated an AI Christian music suitable for group singing. These examples illustrate how AI can serve as a valuable tool in overcoming creative blocks.

AI’s ability to generate initial drafts of lyrics based on themes, scriptures, or emotions can significantly aid composers, although the final product still requires personal refinement. AI also assists in translating Christian music into different languages or adapting them to various cultural contexts, ensuring the faithful transmission of spiritual messages. One participant, by providing detailed instructions to the AI, successfully created a Chinese-style Christian music composition that captures the essence of the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:1-12.

Despite the benefits that AI offers in Christian music composition, it remains essential for creators to be grounded in their personal faith, spiritual life testimony, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the gospel message in their Christian music. This experience underscored the importance of a deep personal worship life, a solid theological foundation, and a commitment to the Word of God. It also highlighted the need for discernment and careful selection when utilizing AI tools. A pastor reflected on this with the following insight:
