“I’m so excited to be in Malaysia because I believe Malaysia carries a very key role at this time,” said Ps Dr David Demian to the thousands of Christians at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching. In the first session of the 16th Gempuru Besai, Kuching, Ps Demian expressed his excitement being in Malaysia to be part of the event.
“It’s a special time for the Church in the time we’re living in and I believe the Lord is raising up the Church at large, especially the native people in the land,” he called to the Iban and other tribes in attendance.
“And I’m so excited to be with the native peoples because I believe that they are the gatekeepers to the destiny of Malaysia,” he said, adding, “In the last two to three years, the Lord is moving very, very, precisely and specifically on the tribes of Malaysia.”
“I believe the Lord is taking this process because the time is coming very soon, and the Lord is doing very specific work,” he said, identifying, “The native peoples are keys to unlock Malaysia.” The Gempuru Besai is a gathering of majority Iban-speaking Christians.
“The Lord is doing specific work preparing the nations at this hour,” he said, adding, “Because when He asked us to pray the Lord’s prayer, He asked us to pray this way, ‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,’ the Lord asked us to pray this prayer not to make us frustrated.
He impressed how our God is not bounded by time. He lives outside time; no past, present and future. “He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He knows the end from the beginning. So, when the Lord asked us to pray this prayer, it is because He sees the beginning and the end,” he said.
“So, He asked us to say this prayer because He saw the fulfilment of this prayer; He saw His Kingdom over His people. He was not talking about a natural Kingdom, He was talking about a spiritual Kingdom,” he continued, adding, “The gates of hell will not prevail on this Kingdom.”
“The Lord is restoring us back to what He wants us to be,” he told. Since a 100 years ago, the move of the Holy Spirit has been poured over the face of this earth. In the last 200 years, we have seen things on the face of the earth that the previous thousands of years had not seen.
“We are coming now to the fulfilment of the promises,” he told about Peter in Acts chapter 3, preaching that Jesus must remain in heaven until the fulfilment of all prophesies. All of the prophesies will be fulfilled. Before Jesus comes back, He will fulfill the prophesies. The book of Haggai said the glory of the later house will be greater than the glory of the former house.
“As we come closer to the end of days, the church is going to go from glory to glory to glory, preparing us for the wedding day,” he said. “How many of you believe that Jesus is real and is coming back again?” he asked. “This is not just a simple statement. It’s a reality! We are preparing for a wedding.”
The Father is preparing us for the wedding of His son; it’s a glorious wedding! He talked about how most women intricately prepared their wedding day; how they want to look or what they want to have. The best clothes will be worn on the wedding day, the best of everything. The Holy Spirit spoke to the pastor, saying that on His wedding day, He will not be any less. On the wedding day, the bride will be the best ever.
“The church will be in the most beautiful state ever! Do you believe that?” he asked, saying, He is not coming to a bride who is cold, broken, beaten and unable to stand. “So, the Lord is preparing us, the Father is preparing us for His Son,” he said. As He is preparing us, He’s going to take us from glory to glory to glory. “That is why it is very important that the Lord is preparing the bride at this hour. I believe that Malaysia is part of this bride,” he said.
“I believe Malaysia has a very key role to play amongst the nations today. That’s why I see the Lord is beginning to raise up the church – the Chinese, Korean, Japanese; I believe the Lord is raising up Asia, and Malaysia plays a very key role in this relationship in Asia in the end of days.
“The native people have a key role to play at this hour. So, what I want to share with you tonight, is a simple Word the Lord gave me; don’t lose courage. The Lord is about to take you to possess your inheritance,” he said. “The Lord is with you; the Lord is leading you and this is the hour.”
The pastor shared what the Lord showed him when the Israelites were about to possess the Promised Land in Numbers 13. The Lord spoke to Moses to send the spies into the Promised Land saying, ‘Go and look at the land I’m about to give to you.’
“The issue was not if they were able to take it or not; God has promised them the land,” he said. He was not waiting for them to see if they can possess it or not. He wanted them to see the Land that He wanted to give to them.
The 12 spies looked at, and brought the fruits of the land. However, there were two different reports. Ten looked at the giants and saw themselves as grasshoppers. Then two spies, Caleb and Joshua, who believed the Word of God, looked at the same picture with two different eyes from the others.
“My word for you tonight is, what eyes do you have?” he asked. Because we have two eyes, one sees the spiritual and one sees the natural. One sees the seen, the things you see with our natural eyes, while the other sees the invisible.
“The Bible says the invisible is more real than the visible,” he said, asking, “How can the invisible be more real than the visible? It is invisible to the natural eyes but visible to the spiritual eyes.”
The Lord impressed on Ps Demian to tell the native people, “I’m about to give them spiritual eyes to see the unseen!” “Because that is the only way that you have faith,” he added. “Faith comes when you interact with God.” It is not positive or wishful thinking; faith is greater than that. “Faith is born when you hear and you see the Word of God.”
“And that’s what the Lord wants to do with the native people,” he said. The session was conducted in English with Iban translation. Gempuru Besai chairman, Ps Greman Ujang Slat from Christ Baptist Church translated.
Ps Dr David Demian is the director of Watchmen for the Nations. Born in Egypt and a medical doctor by profession, he currently lives in Canada with his wife and seven children.
