"The Lord said, 'I will teach you how to live by faith,'" said Brian Young about his life story on how his walk with the Lord began. His journey began when both him and his wife, Ruth, got word from God, "same book, same chapter, same verse" to sell all and follow me, Luke 14:33.

Having been living in abundance with enormous amount of wealth, and retiring at 35 – Young and his wife decided to trust God and sell all. "We were perpetually rich and perpetually poor," he laughed, recalling that it took 9 months to sell off everything they got. Young now consults businesses, Wall Street, and bankers; and lectures in universities, seminaries and bible groups.

Psalms 11:3 says: When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Every aspect of our lives, everything that we do is formed in one foundation, he said.

Psalm 33:10-12 says: The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.

2 Timothy 2:19 says "Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stand firm …"

The foundation of the business world and in what I do – God is the essence of the truth. Our whole system is based on biblical value. "God says I will honor those who honor me," he reminded. Interestingly, the Lord opens doors for His Kingdom. Everything we do has Kingdom perspective. Young also said that he charges no fee for his services because he does it for the Kingdom.

There is a shift from church mentality to kingdom mentality, he said. God has got an agenda that is bigger than we are to fight for the truth. He also mentioned the indescribable hunger from affluent men and women in the business world. "With the thirst, there is truth," he said. Those who walk in this dimension have tremendous influence.

In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus described his ministry. The key in the message is when Jesus closed the book, gave it back, and all eyes were fixed on Him. Why? Jesus sat on the chair. Just by sitting on the chair, the scripture was fulfilled.

"God is placing some of you here in a similar context," he pointed out. You cannot take the occupation unless you sat in the place of authority. The apex of your assignment is a place God has destined you to sit; the Joseph and Daniel anointing, he added. Their ministry is to touch the world through a place they occupy in the world.

What are you going to do with what you are given? All the things God has prepared you in your present career, God has raised you up to be a voice to that world. The key to world evangelism is in the marketplace, not the pulpit. We need to change our mindset, he said.

How is God going to use individuals to change the course of history? By preparing the way for the Lord, like John the Baptist. Jesus sat in the chair; saying to everyone that He is the Messiah The chair gave Him the right to do that.

"When you walk in the authority of the supernatural, the Holy Spirit is doing your work," he said.

Everything is seasonal, at an appointed time with God. God is raising up men and women who can mentor and disciple, called to influence people. Business is only a small part of it.

God is raising those who are worthy to sit in that chair of authority, he stated. God will build what He establishes and honor those who honor Him. "We are carriers of God's presence," said Young. Using many examples from his consultation work in the US, Young also talked about the need for intercessors at the workplace and learning to hear from God. The 2nd session was also held on Friday night at Good News Fellowship, Kuching.
