3 March 2014 by Natasha Kim CM-

The members of Acts Church recently came together from various locations around the Klang Valley and gathered in a combined service, to celebrate their 14th anniversary, at Grand Dorsett, Subang, on the 23rd of February 2014.  What a time for celebration, reminiscing, and a time to look forward with vision! Throughout the years, since God gave Senior Pastor Kenneth Chin a vision to bring revival and transformation to and through the youths in Malaysia, and from Malaysia to the world, the congregation has grown significantly from the surrounding areas of the Klang Valley, and have reached out to countries such as Singapore, Botswana, Indonesia, United Kingdom and Australia.

The huge ballroom that it was held in, was filled to the brim as the praise and worship began. Their dynamic energy lifted up the room! Everyone couldn’t help but smile and catch each other’s enthusiasm. During the celebration, they shared a time of testimony from the members of their congregation on how the Church has helped them grow and especially on how God has been such a great blessing in their lives.

“Happy anniversary to all of you for making Acts who she is, a really dynamic and happening Church! One who believes in people, no matter their age group. We believe in young people and we believe in older people too” shared Pastor Sandra Chin before they began commissioning their leaders just as Jesus did to His disciples during the great commission. “We recognize, reappoint, reaffirm and release them to go and do God’s will and God’s work in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that Acts will be a blessing in Church and outside of Church” said Pastor Kenneth Chin.

Mark 16:15-18

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

God is a God of Breakthroughs

Pastor Kenneth Chin preached that day to the congregation. He cited, 2 Samuel 5:17-21, which tells of David defeating the Philistines. Just as the waters that broke out in Baal Perazim (Master of Breakthrough), and broke out against the enemies before them, the Lord has broken out against our enemies too! According to the scripture, David took the steps of faith that he needed to take and that is why God blessed him with a breakthrough. Kenneth shared that he received a vision from the Lord one day, and it was revealed to him, that all it takes for a breakthrough is a crack! e.g. a crack on the wall.

“It all starts with a small crack. Where is that crack on the wall in your lives? On one side of our lives, we’re waiting for a blessing and a breakthrough but there is just dryness, barrenness and nothingness, but yet just over the wall is tons and tons of good stuff waiting to be poured out into your lives!” he shared. As the crack gets larger in size, water begins to seep through it, and to the other side of the wall, and that’s where the breakthrough starts.

“Many people including those of our faith miss our breakthroughs. Why? Because to become a master of something, we need a lot of practice!” he shared. In this case, know that God is the Master of Breakthroughs! He loves breakthroughs, and it’s what He does for a living.

If you need a breakthrough and a turnover in your life, ask God, for there is no problem too big for our God to pull you through. He will divide the good from the bad. “God doesn’t wait for permission from your enemy, from the wall, or from your fear to give you a breakthrough” shared Kenneth. Water as we know it is gentle and useful, yet it can be the same substance that tears houses down. “You can’t stop the breakthrough of water!” he said.

With that Kenneth prophesized over the congregation and spoke of the blessings and breakthroughs that will flow into their lives. “Come to Him, believe in Him and trust in Him!” he shared. Give God as many testimonies as possible for every blessing you’ve received and praise His name throughout the nations. Experience no lack when you choose to be spiritually grounded with God!
