Believe and Be Healed!

As the lift doors opened to the tenth floor of the TA Building in Jalan P. Ramlee, I heard and followed theangelic voices of worship that sounded like a choir reverberating within the walls of a medieval church in Europe.

 

 

Today, Rev. Muthu who has 23 years of experience being a –pastor, evangelist, missionary, church planter, healing and deliverance minister world wide– was invited as a speaker to share his story and mostly his gift of healing with the attendees. He is also the founder of Apostolic Shalom Ministry that reaches out to the 10/40 windows across Asia. Traveling around as a family with his wife, Susana, and three lovely daughters, he reminded me of the Von Trap family who not only brought with them songs of joy, but a message of salvation for all men.

 

 

And in this meeting, I was privileged to hear the voice of his beautiful wife, Susana, who was evidently an anointed singer, accompanied by her two lovely daughters and president of FGBMF TA Chapter One, Yesudas, who played the keyboard, violin and electric guitar respectively. After a spirit-filled worship, Rev. Muthu showed us a video clip taken in the Philippines.

 

 

“The end times is coming and we just want to let you seehow the Lord is working in another country,” said Rev. Muthu.

 

 

The video showed foreign believers saturated with the Holy Spirit. Some knelt, some fell, some fainted– young girls, old grandmothers, middle-aged men—were slain by the Holy Spirit. Miraculous healing was witnessed for those with knee pain and shoulder pain. The deaf hears. The lady born blind and dumb sees and speaks.How amazing! I see the Bible coming alive in this video. Our God is definitely the true living God! A total of 220 people were healed in His name and 317 of them received the Holy Spirit during his ministry.

Matthew 14 and Matthew 28 says that Jesus spoke with authority and performed miracles to heal.

Matthew 28:18

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Matthew 14:34-36

34When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

“I thank God we didn’t serve a religion but a relationship with God,” said Rev. Muthu.

 

 

Growing up with a mother who was a shaman and soothsayer, he witnessed his mother walking unscathed on hot coal and how she prophesied her visitors’ future. But at 17 years old, his mother had cancer and even after seeking various mediums, his mother did not heal. The doctor finally told her that she only had six months to live. Rev. Muthu was devastated and helpless. One night, he heard a knock on his door and stood before him outside his house was an old lady he recognized from church who visited his house before.

“She challenged me to try Jesus. And I was thinking… why not? I have tried everything! And amen! Taste the Lord for He is good!” said Rev. Muthu.

Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

So, he prayed to Jesus to heal his mother that very night. At that moment, he recalled a brief light shining from above at the place he knelt. Past midnight, he heard a person coming into the room.

 

 

“He said to me, I have come because you have called me. I am Jesus,” said Rev. Muthu.

He woke up the next day looking for a church.

“I was not looking for Christianity, I was looking for Jesus,” said Rev. Muthu.

So, he brought his mother to the church. And the pastor who was preaching then was from Hong Kong who did not know about his mother’s illness. At the end of the sermon, the pastor said that he could sense that there was a lady in church ridden with cancer. So, the pastor rallied the whole church to pray together with him for his mother. As they prayed, pain immediately left her and she was instantly healed! When he brought the mother back to the doctor, he was amazed and asked who healed his mother.

Jeremiah 29:12

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

“I told him Dr Jesus healed my mother! When Jesus Christ is here, not only sickness would leave you but all sicknesses would also leave you. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow(Hebrews 13:8)!” said Rev. Muthu. “The reason you are seated here is by divine appointment. You are called to be here.”

Continuing with his anointing of healing, he could sense unrest and physical pain among the audience.

 

 

“Some of you may be going through situations with your family and work. But Jesus know where you’re right now, and he can turn everything around for His glory,” said Rev. Muthu.

Recently, he went to Nagaland, which was a village of another faith in the 1970’s. One day, a villager returned home and saw a huge owl perching on top of the roof. Picking up a stone, he wanted to kill the owl to cook for a meal. But the owl began to speak in a human voice, “Why do you want to kill me? If you know who I am, you will not kill me.” The villager trembled and told the other villages about this story. In the end, the whole village was saved!

Numbers 22:28

Then the LORD opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?"

After sharing, everyone was asked to stand at his or her feet to be prayed for and to be healed by Jesus Christ. Rev. Muthu prayed for those in the congregation with diabetes, kidney disease and sight problems. He was so specific in describing the person to be healed, that one could feel the heart of a Father who treats each child as His unique and special possession.

 

 

“Every broken body I present to you in Jesus’ name… In the name of Jesus… In the name of Jesus… In the name of Jesus,” prayed Rev. Muthu. “Some of you need a reversal in a situation be it in your family, children and work. If you’re struggling, God wants to give you a fresh breath into your life. The door is opened, you can come now.”

Some of us are going through failure after failure, but he pled for the crowd to come forward and believe that God can and will change their situation.

And as we stood up to worship God with Sister Susana and her daughters, people walked to the front in faith. Yes! They believe that Jesus can and will heal!

Do you believe that Jesus can heal you by his stripes today? Pray. Believe. Be healed.

 

Note: FGBMF headed by Yesudas as the president, is a full gospel businessman fellowship meeting held in TA One building off JalanP.Ramlee. It is located at a walking distance from KLCC.
