“What a terrible day it was for Job!” said Apostle Julie Bailey in the second part of her message on “When God doesn’t make sense.” Apostle Julie from Forever Church in Brisbane, Australia, continued with the story of Job and also her testimony.
Job tells,
One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
Job 1:13-15
In one day, he lost everything.
“At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship.” He worships the Lord. There’s a key when we worship.
Job 1:20
When you are called to what you are supposed to do, there is opposition. When these things happen, there’s a key; Abraham worships, Job worships, Paul and Silas were worshipping while in prison.
“He gives us the power to take the seven mountains. He gave you the power to promote you,” she said. In Job 22, this is the key when things didn’t work out. God is our source. God is our maker. When God isn’t making sense, we’ve got to worship Him.
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before,” and continued on with “their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.”
Job 42:10, 15
This was not normal. Daughters didn’t get inheritance then, but God gave back more.
Apostle Julie then told about how they got into the mountain of religion. “We didn’t know we were called here. We were saved during the mountain of business,” she said having made lots of money at the time with her husband. “When we were on this level, we tithe on the next level. We were set for life and then God brings the words, called us to be prophets and into ministry,” she recalled.
“It wasn’t even on our radar. We knew it was God but it doesn’t make sense,” she told as they were six months into ‘the golden job.’ After six months in ministry, the couple was having hard times, and their ‘golden job’ was taken. “Did we really hear God?”
The enemy would say, “Has God really said?” or “Did God really say?” He has no new tricks. Ever since Genesis, he used, “Did God really said?” He tried to bring confusion at a point when things did not work out.
A chapter before, Adam and Eve were made in the likeness of God. She was already like God. When Jesus gets baptized, God said, “This is my son in whom I am pleased.” Up until this point, no one knew except a few people, she said. Immediately, in the wilderness, who showed up? “If you’re really the Son of God …?” He’s questioning identity but Jesus knew who He was. “It is important we know who we are.”
The devil doesn’t come in opportune time but when you’re discouraged, down and he brings confusion, ‘Has God really said…? Does Malaysia belong to the Lord? He doesn’t come when you’re up and have victory. He comes into a time when you go into battle. At this time God doesn’t make sense.
“We fasted and prayed and God confirmed ‘I called you.’ He gave us a strategy,” she said. “Back then we were unknown, hopeless but God still open doors for us. Six months later, they took over a ministry and while in the US, “Bill Hamon prayed over us and covered us.” At that point it did not make sense because doors were closed.
“We knew He called us into ministry. Today, the rest is history,” she told. “Throughout that we got closer and stronger and more in love with God. He put such a foundation and out of that we minister to so many people.”
“Our God is a generational God. We are doing it for the generation. God says He’s the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He was speaking generationally,” she said. “Our sons have never taken drugs, they are married and they love the Lord,” she added. “That’s a generational blessing!”
God is not a quick fix, short term God. He will bring back the Kingdom. You’re not just doing this for you, you will bring others to breakthrough, she said.
“Keep pushing and believe. God’s raising up people who will stand,” she called saying there are many people in the bible, where God didn’t make sense. Joseph was betrayed by his family, Job lost his family, and Esther was an orphan girl. The apostles didn’t think Jesus would die a horrible death.
“But it all makes sense to us; you can’t go by what you see in the natural. God has a plan, it is up to us His people to keep decreeing, to take your mountains!”
Settle in your head today that nothing stops you. Whatever the Lord has called you to do, you’ve got to take your mountain or the devil will continue to possess it.
The devil took Jesus to a high place and said, “If you will bow down …”. With Job, Hannah, Abraham, they never bowed down but worshipped God. You’ve got to understand, the devil has got the power to give you wealth and position. In the music industry, the devil makes people popular by denying God.
“Jesus was not going to bow down to him; Jesus knew it all belongs to Him anyway. It all belongs to us,” she said telling that the devil is in position because we did not take the mountain.
“My Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven; God already decree in us our purpose. There is a mountain for us to take but you’ve got to take it!” Don’t settle for what the enemy gave you. When the devil gives you wealth and position, he will get us so far from God and bit by bit he will steal our marriages, our peace, and our families.
When you take your mountain, the devil will come and offer you to worship him. Don’t fall for it. You’ve got prophetic words; you’ve got a decree.
James 5:16 tells, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Continuous prayer of the righteous means we’ve got to continue praying, believing for your mountain. Eve was talked out of her future; don’t be talked out of your future. God has a plan for this nation although it may not make sense right now.
Paul tells us,
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37
“If you are more than conquerors, we’ve got to be conquering something!” exclaimed Apostle Greg, continuing the message. This is personal and I am fully persuaded. Whichever mountain you’re taking, you have to be fully persuaded, he said. “It didn’t have to make sense, but it makes sense now.”
“Whatever He’s called you to do, you’ve got to be persuaded,” he said. “Our God is a personal God. You must me fully persuaded. Paul continued,
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39
You’ve got to be fully persuaded that nothing will take you from God’s purpose, he ended. Apostle Julie and Apostle Greg Bailey then anoint the church in prayer for marriage and family. The 8th Apostolic and Prophetic Conference was organized by SIB Hosanna, Sibu.
