"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." – Isaiah 43: 18-19.
“Let it go my love” you said gently,
Shaking my head I held it tightly.
“It’s not your balloon, you must let it go.
There’s a new adventure coming, over the rainbow.”
When I looked up at you, I knew it was true,
I had to let go, to bring in something new.
My hand slowly opened, I let it soar,
The balloon flew high till I could reach it no more.
You stood behind me as a tear fell from my eye,
You knew it was ok for your little child to cry.
“It’s time to go my love, I see that tear.
There’s a new adventure coming, don’t you fear.”
Holding me close you led me away,
Enjoying the wind, the flowers. Oh look at that sun ray!
A smile soon came as we continued hand in hand,
I realized I’ll always have you, we’ll never part, in any adventure, across any land.
