Lamentations 3:25
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him
YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS IN GOD'S TIMING
Have you ever felt that you were going to move into a tremendous blessing of God and suddenly it has bypassed you? Have you ever felt that you were ready for a promotion but others got it?
Zech. 4:6
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit”, says the Lord
A GOOD HUMAN IDEA IS NOT NECESSARILY A GOD IDEA
I have discovered people who have all the potentials of being successful in life and yet unable to walk in the blessings. I have met people who have all the legal rights to possess the promised land yet unable to do so. It seems you never graduate for the things you are meant for! What is the real problem?
John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
MOSES WAS NOT SHORT OF HUMAN WISDOM
Prov 16:25
there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is death
Moses was a brilliant architect, a mathematician and scientist. He went to the best university in a civilization that was so advanced in Egypt.
The first 40 years of Moses’ life was a life of royal highness with dignity and honor, distinguished and outstanding in the affairs of Egyptian life. But you know what? Suddenly all this came to an abrupt end because of one mistake Moses made by murdering an Egyptian on behalf of a Hebrew. That was Moses’ story.
Moses had a mandate from God to rescue God's people out of Egypt but yet suddenly this was put on hold. Moses failed to look to God as to how to move in this situation. Instead, he relied on his own understanding and thus jumped the gun.
Prov.3:5
Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding..
When you are not flowing in God's timing, when you are not flowing in God's agenda and you move on, the enemy will attack and strike you down. God put Moses "on hold" and delayed his destiny for 40 years.
THE PURPOSE OF DELAY IN YOUR LIFE
Delays are not easy to go through but they teach us a lot of lessons. Delay is good for you even though you hate it!. Delays get you ready to know the goodness of God after a long period of waiting. Delays allow you to go through certain things so that when the blessings come finally, it will not change you. Delay will help us to discover the quality of the people around us. Delay enables you to gather accurate information so that you do not rush into things God wants you to do and repeat the same mistake again.
DELAY MAKES YOU WISER WITH GODLY WISDOM
You know what? Unfortunately, some people don't belong to your boat! Some people don’t belong to your journey! Delay will help you to deal with such people and sort them up. Delay is a period you go through where the crushing and the breaking takes place, and in the process, God's character is formed in you to fit you into His purposes and plan.
That's exactly what happened to Moses. God broke him at the remote side of the desert for 40 years until he was fit to move on with God once again. Your divine maturity will only come out of your greatest failures in life. Does this speak to you today?
