Shamini Ruth is known to many of us from the Global Worship Day and A Day of Praise events. Every year, the event gathers Christians from various denominations for a corporate full day of praise and worship, and many have been blessed. Shamini is herself a composer. This song was written after she had received a word concerning revival and the glory of God in her time of prayer. May there be a revival soon in Malaysia!
Revival Waves
“Revival waves” is a song that I wrote in June, 2020. More of a prophetic song after I received a word concerning revival and the glory of God in my prayer. God’s will is that the earth be filled with His glory! Oh how we need the glory of God in order for us to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.
I believe we are walking into a season of power where His Kingdom will be revealed through His church to the earth. In the midst of darkness and gloom, we are going to see the power of God manifested. His glory revealed in a marvelous way. The goodness and the power of His presence with miracles, healing and the harvest of souls. We can already see there are pockets of revival taking place in some parts of the earth.
Many returning to Jesus, testimonies of mighty miracles happening, visitations from the Lord among the unbelievers or prebelievers as we say it. Jesus is showing up in a glorious way. There’s this wave of goodness and power that has come upon us and we need to ride on this wave. We need to flow and move along with the wave.
In Isaiah 60, prophet Isaiah says darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will rise over you. We know the time of great darkness will come, and scripture says that the Lord will rise upon us. The word “rise” means “to shoot forth radiant light to brighten our souls”. This light will reflect the glory of God to the people around us. We are going to be radiant and our hearts will swell with joy!
