Job 36:18 says
‘Be careful that no one entices you by riches; do not let a large bribe turn you aside’.
Organized by the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (Ipoh Chapter), the Breakthrough in Business Integrity Seminar will be held the beginning of next year, on the 18th of January from 2pm to 5pm at the Elim Gospel Hall. It is a seminar that will address how Christian business leaders can run businesses according to God’s principles in challenging environments.
Ir. Dr. Nehemiah Lee (Ir. Dr Nehemiah Lee is a civil engineer who founded a construction company in 1993 to glorify God in business. He won the Star Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011) and Lim Kah Hooi (National Director of FCCI, and has coached and mentored CEOs and business owners in Malaysia for the past 17 years) will be sharing the challenges, heartaches, triumphs and failures in their attempts to conduct business with integrity. Both Ir. Dr. Nehemiah Lee and Lim Kah Hooi will be sharing stories from real life situations that are filled with God’s grace, and the lessons that He taught.
A Little About FCCI
Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI)’s mission is to equip and encourage Christian business leaders to operate their businesses and conduct their personal lives in accordance with biblical principles; and its vision is to transform our world through Christ, one company leader at a time. FCCI started in the United States in 1977 when current Chairman of the Board Bobby Mitchell and a handful of Christian business executives formed the very first ‘small group’. FCCI expanded into the Asia Pacific region and was officially launched in Malaysia on the 14th September 2006.
An FCCI small group is a group of 5 to 10 business leaders meeting periodically for 1-2 hours, and the purpose of the small group is to transform Business Leaders to live their lives as ambassadors for Christ in the marketplace of the world. It provides a safe place for personal transformation, for learning and growing with peers. The small group also offers an environment in which godly counsel can be received, and members can hold one another accountable. It is a place where members can have the open sharing of business ideas and issues, and can learn from one another ways to integrate the Christian faith at their workplaces.
The FCCI Ipoh Chapter currently has eight members and meets fortnightly to encourage, build and grow together. The abovementioned seminar is organized by the Ipoh Chapter, and if you need more information, please contact Anthony (016 5578889) or Doris (019 5569510)
