Speaker Profiles
Bro Lee Kok Yin was born and raised in a typical Christian family of Chinese Methodist origin. He worked a few years in a manufacturing plant, and a family business, before joining Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) in the year 2000 until now. Besides DUMC, he also served as full time staff for 3 years with the Bible Society of Malaysia, and another ten years with Glad Sounds. Most of his work scope is around finance, administration, operations, and some marketing. He is married with two daughters, a son-in-law, and a very cute newly-born son.
Bro Lau Kean Huat was a banker by profession (35 years in total) and subsequently a businessman. His career in the bank spanned over a diverse scope of Internal Auditing, Branch Management, Head of Retail Loans Operations, I.T. Project Manager, Head of Call Centre and ATM Centre. He left the corporate world to be a full-time church worker in 2008 serving at Charis Christian Centre as Head of Operations and Worship Coordinator. His passion is to see the church managed as efficiently, if not better than a corporation. He is a founding member of the Christian Administrators Network.
Bro Eugene Yapp is the Kairos Dialogue Network spokesman and former NECF Malaysia secretary-general. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and a Masters in Christian Studies from the Malaysia Bible Seminary. He was an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya for about 15 years during which time he was involved in religious liberty work before entering Christian ministry in a full-time capacity.
Bro Bernard Lee is an Executive Pastor in DUMC since 2012. He oversees the overall functions of the church, including staffing, resourcing and strategic alignment of vision, ministry and operations. Prior to coming onboard fulltime, Bernard has had over 10 years of management consulting experience, focusing on strategic human resources and change management across varied industries.
