We live in a world full of challenges and trials and no one person is shielded from these problems whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated. There are always issues we need to face and there are always problems that we need to solve and overcome in this journey. Life is as the saying goes “a never ending problem.” I guess it’s a reality and God has made us with the ability and capacity to face these challenges and be an overcomer in this world we live in.
PERSONAL GROWTH IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
However, it’s really sad when people don’t realize that growth isn’t automatic. Every phase that you and I go through in life in this journey is only once that we pass by and yet you can mess up this journey with an immature mind.
You know what? If you don’t make personal growth your responsibility, you miss something very important in life. The path to anything worthwhile is always very narrow and very tough! But that isn’t going to put us off, the sooner you undertake to face challenges, the closer you will achieve your God – ordained goal in life.
GROWTH REQUIRES SACRIFICE
What you sow today determines what you reap tomorrow. Today’s challenges that you take will bring tomorrow’s success. But there is a price that we all need to pay! “You will always have to trade something you have in order to get something you want!!”
Growth demands the surrender of the things that we are so familiar with and love so much to do, for example, values no longer believed in! Relationships that have lost its meaning and purpose, unrewarding practices that destroys your health!
Sadly many of us stop growing because the cost gets too high! Growth apparently requires change! And most of us I am afraid are uncomfortable with change. They focus on their liabilities instead of their possibilities! Solomon says: “Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
If we don’t change, we won’t grow! And if we don’t grow we are not really living! Successful people get ahead while others fear to move on. Today, start to seize every opportunity to keep growing!
A PASSIVE ATTITUDE WILL DEFEAT YOU
Victory and success never comes to the passive! A passive person is as good as a person who has no will to face any challenges in life and perhaps no will to live anymore. Life is full of challenges and God has given us the potential strength to exploit every avenue that faces us to be victories. Even as God’s people had to fight through to possess the Promised Land given to them, we too have to fight and conquer to possess our inheritance in Christ.
Too many people are living far below their potential. They have become too complacent and satisfied and thus end up stagnant in their personal growth. That’s not God’s agenda for you at all!
GOD’S DESIRE IS FOR US TO GROW
But you know what? God wants you to go further because He is a progressive God. No matter what our circumstances are! No matter where we are! He never wants us to quit growing. You may have achieved a certain level of success but always be reminded, God always brings new challenges! New goals! New dreams! New mountains! For you to pursue.
John 10:10b I came not only to give life but abundant life.
God wants you to live over and above the average life.
No doubt God has blessed you with a lot in the past but you haven’t seen anything real great yet. The best is yet to come!
Faith does not follow your feeling but your feelings will follow you faith.
When you are able to see God in your circumstances you will find victory in every encounter you face in life.
God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
When the Israelites were about to possess the Promised Land Joshua and Caleb alone saw God in their circumstances whereas the 10 others spies saw a different picture of fear that crippled them into a grasshopper mentality which defeated them from moving forward. You will not be defeated when you see God in the midst of your circumstances.
It’s not by might nor by power but by my spirit says The Lord. (Zec. 4:6)
Your readiness to change determines your effectiveness and progress! It is a season for you to move from one level to another- from one dimension to a higher dimension!
God wants you to move from the season of survival to the season of increase!! Change is not your enemy!.Change is an agent of your transformation! It is to redirect your life to become the best for God. Sometimes you need to swim against the tide in order to come into what God has for you. Change is a challenge that you need to face in your life. You can’t keep running all your life from challenges by giving excuses!
