In early 2020, the worship team from Every Nation church in Petaling Jaya formed a new band with a focused purpose. Here, they share about the vision behind the band.
Our Band
Wondersigns was started early this year (2020) with the sole purpose to use our creative music to craft songs about the gospel. We are actually the worship team in Every Nation Petaling Jaya who are sold out to preach the gospel with our music.
The name of our band is based on the scripture in Acts 2:22 (NIV) “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
Our vision is to see that our songs being able to create an experience about God’s love, miracles, and purpose for our listeners. At the same time, we hope to create a new sound of worship that is relevant to our local culture in Malaysia, or more broadly, in South East Asia, for a start.
Our First Release
A few months back, during the MCO, though with a lack of resources (most of the production were done from home as studios were too costly for us), we praise God that we managed to release our first single called Rajaku.
We decided to write it in our native language because we felt that Malaysia needs a new song that declares that God reigns over our lives. Below are the links to our new song on YouTube and Spotify:

Malaysia Day 2020
With Malaysia Day fast approaching, we decided to record a simple acoustic version in Dataran Merdeka as even though we are citizens of Malaysia in an earthly context, we want to prophesy God as King over the spiritual and eternal lives of Christians in Malaysia.
We hope this song can go viral and be able to encourage and bless the local Christian listeners in Malaysia.
