Stop Hiding, God Has A Great Plan For Your Life!

On Father’s Day, the members of C3 Subang Jaya commended the men of their congregation by honouring and praying for them while they stood at the pulpit. Each of their children presented them with gifts as a token of appreciation for all they’ve done and continue to do in their lives.

This particular day, dated 15th of June 2014, Pastor Clarance Shashi, preached the Word and he talked about mankind as a whole and what our father in Heaven would like his children to do. “There are many instances in the Bible where you see men hiding, and God going to where they are and bringing them out from that place where they are hiding” said Clarance. This shows us that God doesn’t want men or women to be in a limited space or in hiding, because as long as you as hiding you cannot enter into the fullness of what God has for you!

Genesis 3:7

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

The enemy wants you to be in a limited space, he wants you to hide but God wants you to come out of that place of hiding. The first incident of mankind hiding began in the time of Adam and Eve. When they ate the forbidden fruit they allowed sin to come into their lives and went into hiding because they were ashamed.

This was an unusual act indeed, a silly endeavour, because they should have known that they could not hide from God, He is omnipresent, He is all knowing, and He knows you! Often in our society, people still do the same, they believe that they can hide from God but rest assured God always knows where to find you because He loves you. The devil is still playing the same game, trying to make people believe that they need to hide, but as a child of God it is your responsibility to know better, and to know your fathers heart.

Psalm 139:1-12

O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!

I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.
If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
12     but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.

From the Bible scriptures as shown above in Psalm 139, the Psalmist understood that no one can hide from God.

“He attempted to hide from God but He could not. There is a problem that is keeping you away from God, but the solution is in God! Don’t hide from God, come into His presence and let Him cover you, let Him give you the strength to walk in freedom. Let His power work in your life and allow it to transform you” said Clarance.

Genesis 3:11-15

And He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me—she gave me [fruit] from the tree, and I ate. 13 And the Lord God said to the woman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled (cheated, outwitted, and deceived) me, and I ate.

As the story in the Bible according to Genesis continues, while Adam was ashamed and talking to God, he slowly began to find something else to hide behind, and this time, he was hiding behind his excuses and from responsibility. When God asked Adam why he did what he did in the scripture above in Genesis 3:11-15, Adam responded by giving God an excuse! And when God questioned Eve, she too responded by giving God an excuse! Adam blamed Eve and Eve blamed the serpent.

This would be quite comical if it wasn’t for the seriousness of the matter, that history is repeating the worst of itself throughout scripture and till this day. We need to wake up and see the bigger picture instead of believing the lies that the devil is trying to pull us into believing!

“Adam blamed the woman but the only reason we are not where we are supposed to be, is because Adam did not fulfil his responsibility in the garden. The rule to not eat from that tree was given to Eve, God gave that rule to Adam before Eve came into the picture hence it was Adams responsibility to convey the message to Eve.” shared Clarance. This is why when Eve ate of the fruit nothing happened, it was only when Adam ate the fruit that sin came into the world. When Eve argued with the devil, Adam did not say anything, all he did was stood by and listened. “He should have told the serpent what to do instead of taking advice from the snake because He was given dominion over the world!” said Clarance. The whole garden was lost because He did not do what He was designed to do and that is why he ended up where he was not supposed to end up.

At the end of the day, God judged each one individually and accounted them for their own life. One day, God will judge us all according to our own accounts as well. Therefore now, learn from that and take responsibility of your life and step into all God has in store for you and your life!

Romans 14:12-13

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
