Our Daily Bread Ministries in Malaysia – A Love to Share

Bible Reading: Romans 9:1-5

A Love to Share

My heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved (ROMANS 10:1).

Since becoming a Christian, Nabeel Qureshi has written books to help other Christians understand the people in the religion he left behind. Through it all, Qureshi shows he loves the people of his old religion.

Qureshi dedicated one of his books to his sister, who has not yet trusted in Jesus. The dedication is short but powerful: “I am begging God for the day that we can worship him together.”

We get a sense of that same kind of love as we read Paul’s letter to the church in Rome. “My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending grief,” he said, “for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed—cut off from Christ!—if that would save them” (ROM. 9:2-3 NLT).

Paul loved the Jewish people so much that he would have chosen to be cut off from God himself if only they would accept Jesus. He understood that by rejecting Jesus, his people were rejecting the one true God. This made him tell his readers to share the good news of Jesus with everyone (10:14-15).

Today, may we pray all the more for those close to us who still don’t know Jesus!

To Pray About . . .

Father, fill us with Your love for others. We pray for our friends and family and ask for them to understand the truth about Jesus.

WHAT GOD GAVE TO US, HE WANTS US TO SHARE.

About the Our Daily Bread Ministries

In 1938, the ministry started with a radio program called Detroit Bible Class. Since then, our audience has grown from a small group of dedicated radio listeners to millions of people around the world who use our Bible-based resources.

Over the years our name has changed to better reflect the variety of resources we offer. Today, we realize that most people recognize who we are by the well-loved devotional Our Daily Bread.  So we changed our name to Our Daily Bread Ministries to more clearly communicate who we are. Although our name has changed, our focus remains the same: reaching out to people all around the world with the message of God’s love.

We’re a non-denominational, non-profit organization with staff and volunteers in over 37 offices working together to distribute more than 60 million resources in 150 countries. Regardless of whether it’s a radio or television broadcast, DVD, podcast, book, mobile app, or website, we provide materials to help people grow in their relationship with God.
