“How is it that I’ve been praying all this while and nothing is happening?” asks everyone who yearns for an impactful miracle breakthrough in various areas of our lives. The fact is, there are so many invisible barriers that prevent us from becoming all that we can be through Christ, therefore many of us struggle so hard to break the chains that bind us.
“Do not fit God into your time factor and expect God to move according to our time because that’s not going to happen. God is never too early and never too late, He’s right on time!” shared Reverend Benedict Rajan, a powerful preacher of the Word of God who graced City Revival Church, Subang on the 6th of July.
A Miracle Breakthrough Rally for those yearning for a breakthrough, Benedict continuously cited impactful and meaningful verses from the Bible that stirred many hearts in the room. His preaching impacted many lives that day and strengthened those who lost their strength!
I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.
3 And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.
4 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods. (Psalms 40:1-4)
Benedict began by citing the Bible verses above according to Psalms 40:1-4, which told of David waiting patiently for the Lord.
“Your waiting time is God’s working time! You’re not waiting in vain. While you’re waiting, God is downloading His goodness down on you,” he shared.
The key factor in this verse is that God crossed the path of David!
“When Jesus crosses your path, your path will never be the same! When man looks for God, we define this as religion. But when God looks for man, we define this as the awesome reality of God wanting to relate to man. Isn’t that wonderful!” he shared.
Where ever you are at this moment in time, Jesus wants to cross your path too. “Jesus is always waiting to cross our path, so that our path will never be the same,” shared Benedict. Jesus saved us so that we can be happy.
The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him (Lamentations 3:25)
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:16)
‘I will go before you
And make the crooked places[a] straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the Lord,
Who call you by your name,
Am the God of Israel.
4 For Jacob My servant’s sake,
And Israel My elect,
I have even called you by your name;
I have named you, though you have not known Me. (Isaiah 45:2-4)
No matter how messed up your life is, it is not man who is going to untangle it, it is God! The Word of God has been given to you through the Bible so that you are able to build an altar of faith in your heart; it is this altar that will attract God to you and move into your circumstances.
“Accept your reality knowing that this isn’t your finality! Accept your immediate knowing that this is not your ultimate. If you have faith to believe and not faith to doubt, God will bypass a thousand people to come to you!” said Benedict. If you are going through financial difficulties, fret not for what belongs to God, belongs to us (Haggai 2:8).
“Don’t look to the hands of man, but look to the hands of God for the favour of God is sovereign!” he shared.
Our God is not a respecter of position or of money, He looks at the heart and when God works, everything works! Likewise, when God doesn’t work everything doesn’t work.
“When you pray in faith, you don’t dictate terms with God. Faith is a relationship with Jesus for Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. It’s an awesome relationship! In relationships if you keep manipulating one another, it will not be pleasing to one another right or wrong?! Many of us do this. You know why our altar of faith is not effective?! It is because our altar of faith is presumptuous! Remember that God’s time is not your time, and your time is not God’s time! But God’s time is your time and your time will surely come!” preached Benedict.
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:4)
The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. (Haggai 2:8)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)
Three Simple Principles of Life in building your altar of Faith that will lead you to miracles in your life:
1) Your desperation in Gods’ hands is an inspiration for divine intervention.
“Cast your cares on Him and it will become a breakthrough for you!” shared Benedict.
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7)
2) The End of man is the New beginning of God.
“When you are standing at the end of your circumstances and you’re hopeless or uncertain, it is not over!” he shared.
See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you. (Isaiah 42:9)
In the midst of all the noises, God hears the voice of faith!
“The voice of faith is so gentle but strong!” shared Benedict.
The Bible according to Mark 10:46-52 displays another instance where Jesus crossed the path of a blind beggar named Bartimaeus who had no choice in life. When he heard that Jesus was coming his way, he decided that when Jesus comes, he would put his faith in action. And so, he cried out in the multitude of people. When the people rebuked him, he cried out even more! His faith earned him his miracle!
“I pray that you will cry out from your heart over your impossibility, and over your situations!” he shared.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to Godmust believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
3) Your wastage in God’s hands is a dynamic usage!
One might say, “Oh I’ve wasted my life, I’ve wasted my days or I’ve wasted my opportunity!” but God has got the power to turn it around for your good! God gives you a hope that nobody else can give.
“Your adversity in Gods’ hands is an awesome opportunity. Your disappointment in Gods’ hands is an awesome appointment! Amen,” encouraged Benedict.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
