On Friday, 5 September 2025, Malaysian Gospel Music (MGM) will be hosting a very much looked-forward-to gathering of worshippers, musicians, and the Christian community for a full day of equipping, inspiration, and heartfelt praise at Every Nation Church Malaysia, Bandar Puchong Jaya.
The MGM Festival 2025 isn’t just about music. Held annually, it has a deeper purpose and vision of building up the body of Christ through skill, fellowship, and worship. With morning workshops, an evening concert, and tickets at only RM20, the festival – like all the ones in previous years – is designed to be both accessible and impactful.
About Malaysian Gospel Music (MGM)
Malaysian Gospel Music (MGM) was founded in 2011 with the goal of advancing and raising the standard of Gospel Music in Malaysia and to create a platform for Malaysian Christian artistes to make an impact in our churches, culture and community. MGM is also a fellowship of Christian artistes, musicians, songwriters, producers, gathering together to mutually encourage one another for the work of the ministry through the medium of worship and music.
Through the years MGM have conducted and launched a number of events and projects in line with their vision such as concerts, workshops, showcases as well as producing their own albums. Since 2011, they’ve been organising concerts all across Malaysia to create a greater awareness of Malaysia gospel/christian music. In 2014, they launched their “School of Worship” with special guest Bob Fitts. SOW is designed to equip worship leaders and musicians from various churches in the area of worship, so that they can further influence the worship ministry and culture of their respective churches.
MGM also produced their first ever album in 2011 and to date they have produced a total of 3 albums, consisting of all original songs written by Malaysian artistes. MGM is constantly adapting and evolving to ensure it stays relevant across generations.
The MGM Festival 2025
From Workshops to Worship
The day will begin early at 9:00 AM with a workshop that covers a wide range of ministry skills: vocal singing with Pr Carmen Wong, worship leading with Pr Timothy Lim, band dynamics with Pr Neil Batiancila, songwriting led by Elder Raymond Tan and Pr Ng Wah Lok and media with Pr Leon Lim.
Each workshop will offer hands-on guidance to strengthen local church music ministries and give worship teams fresh tools to serve effectively. It will be done over two sessions, where each session is not repeated. Participants are allowed to switch to another workshop during the 2nd session.
A Night of Praise
As the day turns to evening, the festival will shift into a powerful concert featuring Joanne Yeoh, Yuin Lu, Ignite FCC, Wondersigns, Sabrina Lee, Patrick Leong, and Ken Leong. More than just centering on a stage and an audience, the concert is about worshippers coming together, lifting their voices, and celebrating what God is doing through the creativity He has placed in His people.
Altogether, the festival is a rare chance for local Christians, especially aspiring worship leaders and musicians to experience the richness of Malaysian gospel music songs that reflect our shared journey of faith, sung in unity by artists and audience alike.
