'Jubilee 2013 – A Journey Towards Revival & Transformation’ was held in Ipoh on Malaysia Day at the Tamil Methodist Church, Buntong. Believers from different churches and denominations gathered in unity to attend the event.
Pr Voon Li from Canning Garden Baptist Church gave the introduction to Jubilee 2013 in which she said, "The promise of jubilee includes freedom, rest, and freedom from debt. God has more for us as a nation, and He has started a work and movement in the original people of this land. The church needs to be united with them to move forward. Also we need to position ourselves for revival and transformation. Whilst it seems that we have always been praying for revival, we must not be disappointed in our waiting."
Rev Eduan from St Peter’s Church Ipoh delivered the main message from 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, “If y people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” With the simple acronym of D.O.A. (which means pray in Bahasa), to remember his sermon, Pr Eduan said that we need to DECLARE that Christ is King. Next, we need to OBEY, no matter what happens and no matter what situation we find ourselves in. It is easy when things are going well, but no matter what, good or bad, we need to be faithful and steadfast in putting God first. Thirdly, we need to ARISE. Just as Christ is arisen, we need to arise as God’s people.
When we do the D, O, and A, God will do His D. O and A. He will bring DELIVERANCE. There will be freedom, chains will be broken and we will walk supernaturally in Christ. Next, He will OVERTAKE us and lead the way. We need to allow Him to be in the driver seat. After all, He knows the situation in our lives and He has the best solution. All we have to do is trust Him. And thirdly, He will make us AWESOME, just as He is and awesome God, a God of miracles.
His message was followed by five prophetic acts and declarations, prayer and intercession by and for the Anak Negeri, Father and Son, Pastor and Young Pastor, Prayer Intercessors, and the Jubilee Awakening Declaration. And as it was Malaysia Day, Pr Jimmy Ho from Elim Gospel Hall, Ipoh upheld our nation in prayer with the congregation.
