God Transforms Lives

With a recent revelation to the family’s Christian walk, the Tian family shares how God transforms their lives in the last couple of years. It was a trial time for the family, however, husband and wife Victor and Valerie, and their sons Darrell and Samuel are moving on with the Lord.

The family had been Christians for the last 13 years, and their move to Blessed Church was only the beginning. “We knew there’s a God, but we couldn’t hear Him,” said Victor about that time. “We were looking for a solution into our trials.”

“We attend all the prayer meetings and our spiritual lives improved,” continued Valerie. “There’s a total transformation in our spiritual lives; we learned a lot.”

“We need to ask God to open our spiritual eyes. We have to know the things that are taking up our time with God,” Victor said giving the example of time wasted watching television. God doesn’t like things taking up your time with Him.

If you are building your relationship with God, He will build you up. The closer you are with God, the more you can hear His voice.

“In Matthew 28:19-20, God wants us to be disciples, not believers. If you want God’s presence, we have to do His will for us to reach out and make disciples. To be a believer is easy, but if you do God’s work, the presence of God is with you,” he continued.

Joy and happiness will come; bondage will be set free when you worship in spirit and in truth.

The Tians thank God for helping them in the last couple of years during their trial. “In the last two years, God really helped us. From what we learned, God wants us to reach out so that lives can be set free,” Victor said. "We have to remember God is always true to lead us and guide us. God will send people beside you to guide you and lead you. Sometimes people ask where God is?” he said. God will send people to guide you. If you have peace, you know that God is sending that person, he added.

Just like Isaiah 30: 20 – 21:

Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it. (NIV).

The Tian family also shared their son Darrell’s testimony. Victor and Valerie, along with their sons Darrell and Samuel attend Blessed Church, Kuching.
