Started in 2007, the Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) was finally completed this year. Covering a large 4.9 acre piece of land in Bukit Jalil, the vast 600,000 square feet built up area is hard to miss and astounding to behold.
The sub-dividable 5000-seat auditorium that spans four floors has a stage with facilities for the theater and musical productions, including an orchestra pit and fly-tower.
With state-of-the-art audiovisuals and multimedia equipment, CCC has opened doors to international acts; one was His Life by the Promise Ministries International in New York with their 100-production team and the other, pop group Air Supply. The backstage is complete with dressing rooms, lounge, a prayer hall, and a training room that is designed with the same size as the stage. Besides international acts, CCC has also recently hosted the triennial 23rd World Pentecostal Conference, welcoming 3500 people including 1500 foreign delegates from 69 nations.
Located on the third floor of the Prayer Tower, the 100-seat prayer chapel has wooden planks overlaid on the walls, with wooden pews facing a window overlooking the golf course. With the future installation of mosaic stained-glass windows, the prayer room resembles a ubiquitous English church that exudes peace and serenity.
Designed with a prophetic vision in mind, the fountain symbolized CCC as a fountainhead church, with blessings flowing from the church to the body of Christ and the rest of the community. The operable wings on the sides of the auditorium also signify the angel’s wings covering the church. And lastly, the translucent rainbow-colored panes covering the top of the entrance plaza resemble God’s promise to Noah. During the day, the panes would cast a colorful shadow on the floor as a daily and visible reminder of God’s faithfulness of His promises.
With a large nursery care facility equipped with playhouses, children library, napping beds for children, and cradles for infants, the children can play safely under the watchful eyes of the children ministry staffs.
For other ongoing smaller services, three theaters of 200 to 300-seating are also available. If an event requires a higher capacity of 1000-seating, there is a multipurpose hall that can readily be converted into a banquet venue, which also houses two badminton courts and one basketball court. Of course, several counseling rooms are also available for small-group pursuits.
CCC also houses AIM Christian College equipped with an adult library that is opened to the public, 200-seated seminar rooms and classrooms, hostels and guest apartments, and a few floors for administrative offices. Future endeavors may include the opening of commercial lots at the entrance plaza to businesses. Feel free to visit CCC and tour around this facility for any of your church activities!

The facility is so wonderful for church use. I and other brethren in Kenya are trusting God to have a 5000-seater worship facility as the Lord is greatly increasing to our numbers they that believe. I’m so blessed by what our Father is doing for you in that other side. Shalom
