When Cleo E. Carmona came back to Malaysia from the Philippines, he was called on by many to preach at their churches. The amazing preacher is soft spoken, but when he preaches by the power of the Holy Spirit he gets fired up! He sends out firm and powerful messages of the Word of God and his personal experiences.
The founder and senior pastor of Net Harvest Global Mission Inc. recently preached at Faith Oasis Fellowship, Subang. Both Cleo and his Malaysian wife Cindy Yong have made it their mission to reach out to people everywhere. They oversee 21 affiliated tribal churches, manage 35 churches altogether and serve as a missionary in the bustling city of General Santos City, Philippines.
I Surrender All
He shared on how God has been blessing him, like how he managed to finish a project (the building of a school) in just a mere three months instead of the estimated eight. “I believe that if you are a man of purpose… of God’s purpose, you are unstoppable. The resources of heaven are unstoppable! Nobody can hinder the works of God” he strongly shared.
"Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed” (Acts 13:36)
There is a truth in this passage to speaks to all of us in a greater way. It is like the passage,
“Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (Matthew 25:23)
What a joy it is to know that when you fall asleep you’ve served the purpose of God, hence do not make your life idle.
King David served God's purpose by working as a shepherd. He protected the animals and fought the giant Goliath. David recognized that the battle was spiritual and that was the reason he boldly approached the giants with the Lords strength. In return David demonstrated awesome power.
“When you want to see your own purpose and dream instead of Gods then you will be disappointed of the outcome!” he said. Surrender all to the Holy Spirit and let it speak to you.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Mark 13:31)
This line in the Bible encourages all to read the Word of God for it is His compass which makes it ours too! “Even when you die the Word of God remains a dream and a purpose in your heart!” he shared. He added that, “Everything that seems to be more valuable to you, it will soon pass away, but the Word of God will never pass away.”
Follow the Straight Path
Many have testified and proclaimed the miracles of God on their life. God works in ways we cannot see and is ultimately the God of miracles. “When there seems to be no way, God’s way is straight. In His promise God is always on time, but man…is always late. Serve God with faith as He is a trustworthy God” he shared.
As humans we need to obey Gods Word and do what is right in His eyes. Often people talk about each other in ways they should not be. “We judge and criticize people very fast rather than appreciating God’s greatness over their life and we see the negative very fast rather than the potential God has given you” he said.
Cleo also mentioned that we serve God by respecting authority and obeying. “If any leader is wrong, we pray for the leader” he said. It is up to God to do whatever it is, in His time. “You have no right to judge because you will be judged as well. There is no perfect leader in this world just like there is no perfect man in this world. Only God is perfect” he strongly shared.
Only the Lord has the power to give life and take it away as He chooses, and it is He who appoints anyone He wishes and to take it away. Such is life that we have to submit to God. That was the way David served God by respecting authority as well.
Serve as an example. When people put hatred on you, do not act the same. In the Bible, when Jesus was struck at the side, He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
It is Christ-like that we respond in prayer and in love so that people can see the fruits in your life. This is so that people will know that you are His disciples! At the end of the day, we are all God’s family. “Live in such a way that your life, action and your attitude will make an impact for God. The Lord will amaze you with powerful things!” he shared before finally closing in prayer. Pray for Gods plan for you and surrender your doubts in order to allow Him to work miraculous things in your life.
