Whereby the word &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Bethlehem&#8221; means &#8220;House of Bread&#8221;, the birthplace<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"> of Jesus Christ, the &#8220;Bread of Life&#8221;! <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In this passage, the psalmist shows his <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">passion for God&#8217;s word in many different <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">ways. The &#8220;Word, Commandments, S<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">tatutes, Judgment, Testimonies, Precepts <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">and the Ways&#8221; are used <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">interchangeably. It provides the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">exhortations to keep one&#8217;s way pure with <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">the right attitude and following godly <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">principles and precepts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"segment style-scope ytd-transcript-segment-renderer\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"13 seconds word this s s verse 9 to 16 is named\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The writer cited &#8220;H<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">ow can a young man cleanse his ways? By <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">taking heed, according to God&#8217;s word.&#8221; (<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>v 9<\/strong>). Herein, God&#8217;s word has the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">cleansing power from sin, guiding him to <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">walk <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">obediently, helping him to stay pure and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">upright when he obeys them. He diligently <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">seek God with all his heart and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">treasures on His word, and not wander from H<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">is commandments, but instead meditates on H<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">is precepts (the word). <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"segment style-scope ytd-transcript-segment-renderer\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"13 seconds word this s s verse 9 to 16 is named\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">So, memorization on <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">God&#8217;s word becomes a lifestyle, it serves <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">as a defense against the folly of sin. He <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">prays that the Lord will teach him the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">word, and declare all the judgment (the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">laws) of God that he might have wisdom to <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">apply God&#8217;s truth (<strong>v <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>10-13<\/strong>). <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He rejoices in God&#8217;s word more <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">than in all riches, fame or power this <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">world possesses. He meditates day and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">night on His precepts (the laws) that leads <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">to obedience and r<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">emembrance. &#8220;I will take great joy and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">comfort in His statutes (the word) and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">never forget them (<strong>v 14-16<\/strong>). <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"segment style-scope ytd-transcript-segment-renderer\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"13 seconds word this s s verse 9 to 16 is named\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">summary, God&#8217;s word brings blessings, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">wisdom, and understanding. His word is <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">like a lamp to our feet and a light to <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">our path: and the entirety of His word is <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">truth. In order for us to bear <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">testimonies on God&#8217;s word, we need to <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">meditate and keep H<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">is word in our heart <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">to live a consistent lifestyle, i.e &#8211; &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">to walk the talk&#8221; and be doers of the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">word, and not hearers <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">only (<strong>James <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1:22<\/strong>). Be still and know that He is God (<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Psalms 46:10<\/strong>). It&#8217;s not how many times <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">we go through the words, but rather, how <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">many times the words go through us.
