My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">It reminds me again and again that all man (and beasts) however, rich or poor, weak or strong, or whatever situation one is in, will die! Death is guaranteed! (Hebrews 9:27). Yet we see the foolishness of men clamoring for worthless wealth, pleasures, and status. The psalm does not make being rich is a sin. The sin lies in trusting in riches!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">It is not money that is the root of all evil, but the love of it. (1 Timothy 6:10). It does well that we pay heed to the psalmist\u2019s wisdom. He investigates that worldly wealth produces spiritual blindness and bankruptcy. The foolish man is cushioned against a harsh world of reality by his money. The grave robs him of wealth and makes him foolish nor can he purchase or ransom a man\u2019s life with money. He is confused with eternity, and his faith is placed in the wrong thing. He focused on the wrong world. In short, he is robbed of his future, fortune, and his faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">As believers, we are not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold but with the precious blood of Christ. The world is a temporary place, let us remember this world is not my own I am just a passing through. Thus, as true believers \u201cKeep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, \u2018Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.\u2019\u201d (Hebrews 13:5)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Let&#8217;s Read Psalm 49<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>1 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hear this, all peoples!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>2 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">both low and high,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 rich and poor together!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>3 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My mouth shall speak wisdom;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>4 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I will incline my ear to a proverb;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>5 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why should I fear in times of trouble,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>6 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">those who trust in their wealth<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 and boast of the abundance of their riches?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>7 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Truly no man can ransom another,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 or give to God the price of his life,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>8 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for the ransom of their life is costly<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 and can never suffice,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>9 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that he should live on forever<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 and never see the pit.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>10 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For he sees that even the wise die;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 the fool and the stupid alike must perish<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 and leave their wealth to others.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>11 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their graves are their homes forever,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 their dwelling places to all generations,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 though they called lands by their own names.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>12 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man in his pomp will not remain;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 he is like the beasts that perish.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>13 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the path of those who have foolish confidence;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 yet after them people approve of their boasts. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selah<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><b>14 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 death shall be their shepherd,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the upright shall rule over them in the morning.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 Their form shall be consumed in Sheol, with no place to dwell.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>15 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 for he will receive me. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selah<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>16 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be not afraid when a man becomes rich,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 when the glory of his house increases.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>17 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For when he dies he will carry nothing away;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 his glory will not go down after him.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>18 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u2014and though you get praise when you do well for yourself\u2014<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>19 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">his soul will go to the generation of his fathers,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 who will never again see light.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>20 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man in his pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;
