\n\tIt was three years ago that Esther Song accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. To be precise, it was on the 18th<\/sup> of June 2010, a Friday night, during Generation One’s Arise conference in Kampar. “I was very reluctant to go for the conference. And one week before the conference, my coursemate from UTAR invited me to the ‘Now I See’ concert. Little did I know that the concert was organized by a cult active in Kampar area. However, one of my friends stopped me from going and invited me to the Arise conference. He even paid my conference fees. I felt that if I agreed to go for the concert with my coursemate whom I am not very close with, I should really go for the conference when a close friend of mine invited me to go. So I went for the conference” said Esther, when I asked her how she ended up at the conference.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThat Friday night marked a new beginning for Esther. Whilst her family is not Christian, Esther was not stopped from going to church, and have followed her friend’s mother to church since she was young. According to Esther, “I knew the Bible stories, but didn’t really experience God. When I was around Form 4 and Form 5, I had a lot of questions. I asked ‘When do we know we are Christian?’ I have been to church so many times but nothing has changed. I even put up my hands many times during alter call, but nothing changed. I was seeking and looking for answers but nothing seemed to be happening. However, on that night, when Pastor Rudy said “We should believe, then we will see. Not see then believe” his words hit the right spot. I wanted to see things happen before I believed. For example, I would say things like ‘I will believe in You if I pass my exams’, but always I didn’t when I did pass my papers.”<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“I went for the alter call without thinking much, and my tears were flowing. Someone said the sinners’ prayer with me, and another pastor prayed for me saying ‘I know you have been searching for me, I am here all this while, but you didn’t open your eyes to see. Tonight you took a leap of faith’. This time, something changed, and I knew I had something new – a relationship with Christ”.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\"\"<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tAs I spoke to Esther about her short but powerful testimony, I realize that many times we want to see before we believe that something would happen. However, in God’s kingdom, faith is the key to activating His promises, and without faith, we will not be able to please our Father in heaven. Hebrews 11v6 says that “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”. Indeed, if we want to see thing happening in out walk with God, we need to have faith and believe that He is there for us!<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
