Rebecca Greenwood <\/strong>is well-known as a prayer intercessor. For 24 years, she has travelled the world on spiritual warfare prayer journeys to 34 countries such as Egypt, Nepal, Italy, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Spain, China, and to many cities and locations throughout the United States in which measurable breakthrough of transformation have been realized.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebecca is the co-founder of Christian Harvest International and Strategic Prayer Action Network (SPAN). Her ministry spans across prophecy, prophetic intercession, transformational spiritual warfare prayer, spiritual mapping, deliverance and teaching the word of God extensively in the nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, she visited Malaysia for 2 three-day prophetic and strategic prayer conferences organised by the AG Prayer Commission and held in First Assembly Penang and Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya. During one of the revival nights while she was here, she delivered a message of prophecy over Malaysia, based on Scripture taken from Isaiah 60<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebecca conveyed that God is a Father to the fatherless and that Malaysia is not a fatherless nation. She could sense the stirring of the heart and that it is a season to awaken. She emphasised as well the importance of prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of us whether we want to be or not has been called to be intercessors by God. \u2018Lord we want our prayers to be full of the fire of the Lord,\u2019 she led in prayer. \u2018We want to be passionate about this. As we lay down our crowns, intercession happens.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing several quotes from well-known intercessors, a few stood out. Dutch Sheets has said once that prayer shapes the future. Peter Wagner said that our prayers has power enough to direct nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 60<\/strong> was picked by Rebecca as a starting point for prophecy, not just because it is a promise to us but a promise for prayer and intercession as well. In verse 1 of the passage, Scripture speaks about arising<\/em>. This sense of arising does not just mean literally getting up or starting up but also being in partnership with God, not just in prayer but also when we are rising, we are making breakthroughs together with God so that His kingdom can be established.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018God wants our light to shine bright,\u2019 Rebecca communicated. \u2018Every one of us. Light brings vision. And this word arise also means to abide<\/em>, to be connected with Him.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

As is found in John 15:9<\/strong>, this connection with God not just come by reading His word or in worship. It also means because of our intimacy with Him, we also hear His voice, that He is guiding us, that He is going with us, that when we go everywhere, people can feel His presence through us. This is a calling for us to shine for Him.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The light of God is a contrast to darkness and the word glory that is found in Isaiah 60:2<\/strong> means a lot. It means splendour, honour, God\u2019s glorious presence and power. Intercessors are defined as one who partners with God on this earth to see God\u2019s Kingdom established.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 60:2<\/strong> also speaks about the glory coming upon<\/em> us. It is in close proximity to us. When we abide in God, His glory falls upon us, and we then have a responsibility. Darkness may come over the earth and the darkness usually signifies confusion. Rebecca expressed that the earth literally mean the land, people, and nations. In the darkness, it may even become harder for people to see the light.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the promise is also that in such conditions, it is often where the Lord shall rise upon us, and His glory shall be seen upon us all the clearer. Even in the midst of darkness if the church will come together to pray, then God will begin to move.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebecca shared that she could sense a definite shift in the spiritual atmosphere of Malaysia. Our churches are starting to unite across denominations and creeds. \u2018Some may say the darkness is still there but the reality is through that darkness the light of the Lord can still shine bright,\u2019 she conveyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018I see churches in Malaysia coming together across denominations and beliefs, coming together from different streams. Do you know that in the Western church these days this is something that is so difficult to happen? You have something remarkable going on here. And I see this growing in the future, from 5000 intercessors up to 10000 into 25000 and even 50000.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

There is power in the unity of prayer. As darkness comes, the light of God that we carry through our prayers and intercession has the power to pierce through the darkness. Rebecca shared that she could hear it in our worship; she could also hear it in the sound of our prayers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This word about people seeing God\u2019s light in the darkness does not just mean literally seeing with the eyes, but also of spiritual and prophetic insight. As we intercede for our nation, others will see this insight as well. Verse 3 of Isaiah 60 speaks of a new dawn. It foretells the salvation of many peoples and of the passion that is going fall upon the young ones of the nation. Rebecca communicated that exciting things are going to happen in the near future of our nation to God\u2019s glory.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
