\u201cAs we are reading the Bible together, we are also declaring God\u2019s Words,\u201d called Ps David Demian at a special meeting at Blessed Church here recently. During his visit to Kuching, Ps David Demian shared with the church about \u201cUnderstanding the Season We\u2019re Living In.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Revelation 4:1-2, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open\u00a0in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cCome up here,\u00a0and I will show you what must take place after this.\u201d\u00a0At once I was in the Spirit,\u00a0and there before me was a throne in heaven\u00a0with someone sitting on it.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord was speaking with John, \u2018Come up here and I\u2019ll show you what will take place and immediately, I was in the spirit,\u201d he said emphasizing the word, immediately, suddenly, instantly or at once in the NIV translation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the season of the \u2018suddenly-ness\u2019,\u201d he said. \u201cSometimes when the Lord speaks, it will happen down the road. But when we\u2019re closer to the coming of the Lord Jesus, things will move faster,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, the open door is there and the Lord is ready. When He speaks, He said \u2018come here\u2019; suddenly, we respond immediately \u2013 this is a season we\u2019re walking in.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Isaiah 43:18-19, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cForget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
\nNow it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cDeclare and speak to ourselves,\u201d he said telling, \u201cIt says forget. Sometimes our hindrance is what we know; what hinders us into entering new things are because we have seen what God has done before.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0What God has done cannot take us to a new season. \u201cIt\u2019s not what I don\u2019t know, but I do know. Sometimes we can finish the sentence for Him,\u201d he said. \u201cGod, please renew my mind. I want to be so flexible to go wherever you want me to go.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow, it springs up. It comes from underneath, not raining from above but from underneath,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s why the Bible says \u2018it springs up.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bible is calling the deep; the depth within us,\u201d he said as we declared, \u2018Lord, renew my mind,\u2019 was \u201cBecause the Lord wants to reveal to us what He wants us to do.\u201d Like John, the Lord asked him to \u2018come up here.\u2019 He\u2019s telling us, \u201cdon\u2019t get stuck; see what I\u2019m about to do \u2013 He\u2019s giving us a bird\u2019s eye view.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes from down there, we don\u2019t know what we\u2019re doing; but up there, we can see the peace,\u201d he said referring to piecing a puzzle together and looking at the bigger picture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn our mind and imagination, the Lord allows us to see the bigger picture, even in the natural,\u201d he said telling nowadays, we do not even have to leave our homes to see what was going on in the nations. \u201cThe natural speaks of the supernatural,\u201d he added. It took weeks for people to know what was happening in other nations 50-70 years ago.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord in the natural is preparing us to grasp the natural. As He\u2019s moving in the nations, He wants the backing of Christians to understand the seasons and the times,\u201d he said. \u201cThis time I want to take us to a bird eye\u2019s view from Blessed Church, to Sarawak, to Malaysia, and to hover over the nations.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Genesis 1:14,<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd God said, \u201cLet there be lights\u00a0in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night,\u00a0and let them serve as signs\u00a0to mark sacred times,\u00a0and days and years.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThis chapter is about creation; God here created the heaven and the earth,\u201d he said. \u201cHe said let there be light, there are two \u2013 the sun and the moon. What was the purpose of the light?\u201d he asked.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First, is to separate day and night. He made the sun for the day and moon for the night. Second, they were signs to mark the seasons. \u201cWe have the sun and the moon to mark the days and the years. But, it also marks seasons, which is very interesting because we can know the season we\u2019re in,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Luke 21:25, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole chapter 21 is about the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,\u201d he said. \u201cThe disciples were talking about the second coming of Jesus in the early church; they were expectant of the second coming.\u201d The early church greeting was Maranatha<\/em> or the Lord is coming soon. \u201cThe early church lived with the expectation that the Lord is coming soon.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As time goes by, there came the dark ages where everything was lost. In the last 100 years, the Lord began restoring what the devil has stolen. \u201cHe began restoring truth by truth.\u201d From Martin Luther\u2019s salvation by grace to Charles Finney, the charismatic movement, \u201cWe\u2019re coming to restoration after restoration after restoration.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

John 17: 11, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,\u00a0and I am coming to you.\u00a0Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one\u00a0as we are one.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re coming closer and closer to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here, He\u2019s talking about signs from the moon and the sun,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you read the rest of the chapter, the moon becomes red and the sun becomes black,\u201d he said telling, \u201cJesus is giving signs from the moon and the sun referring to the second coming.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Joel 2:28-32, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd afterward,\u00a0I will pour out my Spirit\u00a0on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. 29\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Even on my servants,\u00a0both men and women,\u00a0\u00a0I will pour out my Spirit in those days.30\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>I will show wonders in the heavens\u00a0\u00a0and on the earth,\u00a0blood and fire and billows of smoke.31\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>The sun will be turned to darkness
\nand the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the\u00a0Lord. 32\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And everyone who calls on the name of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0will be saved; for on Mount Zion\u00a0and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the\u00a0Lord\u00a0has said, even among the survivors whom the\u00a0Lord\u00a0calls.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe very interesting part He\u2019s talking about is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd, He talks about the sun and the moon, and relates it to the coming of Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn verse 31 is what we call the blood moon; this verse was quoted in Acts 2. The Holy Spirit was poured out in Pentecost; the people were shocked at what\u2019s happening and Peter uses this verse to justify what was happening.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the fullness of Joel 2; it\u2019s the firstfruits of Joel 2. The fullness of Joel 2 will happen before the coming of the Lord Jesus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Book of Acts is not supposed to be the end of the church; it\u2019s the beginning. It\u2019s not supposed to be the height; it\u2019s the beginning of the church. What you see in Acts is the beginning for us to go into glory to glory to glory,\u201d he said. It was never meant to reach a plateau. The complacency of the church became the dark ages in the history of Christianity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople lost the truth but the Lord left a few remnants scattered everywhere. Nobody talked about salvation by grace, so the church lost what it had,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The restoration of the truth comes not to a few but to a multitude. The charismatic movement is just a 100 years old. \u201cTwo hundred years ago, the concept of having people like this in different languages was totally foreign,\u201d he said telling \u201cYou can count on one or two hands the number of people filled with the spirit.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI want you to grasp the speed the Lord is moving this time. All of us are born in a time where this is normal; 200 years ago, it is not normal,\u201d he said. He explained the first time he bought a computer many years ago and the dealer told him he would never have to change it. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t take long; remember the Nokia flip phone?\u201d he asked. \u201cWhen I\u2019m talking about this, it\u2019s like almost a memory,\u201d he said adding \u201cThose bag phones? That was in my lifetime!\u201d Do you understand the speed that we\u2019re moving in?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The speed things are moving is to prepare us for what God is about to do. Joel speaks of prophesy in the end of days. What happened in Acts 2 went from glory to glory but suddenly got lost in the dark ages. \u201cThen the Lord begins to visit His church again and restoration begins to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRestoration of intercession, the prayer movement – all these things and in all we have seen, we have not reached Acts 2 yet,\u201d he said. All that has been restored has not brought us to Acts 2. \u201cThe Lord has to fulfil all these things together to go to Acts 2.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe key to Acts 2 is one accord,\u201d he said. All the 120 were in one accord. What is it? \u201cLike an orchestra or the symphony, they were in harmony. That does not mean you are the same like me,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt means a variety of instruments. All 100 violins in harmony sounds wonderful, but the sound of keyboards and other instruments in harmony will never match one instrument alone.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe beauty is in the variety; not like each other. That\u2019s what happened in Acts 2, they were in one accord,\u201d he said. In Acts 4, thousands were saved. \u201cThe Bible said they were all in one accord; how can new Christians know the truth?\u201d he asked, \u201cOnce it is birthed, it is your inheritance.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cNot only do they experience the Kingdom of God, but they also experience unity of the body as Jesus prays,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0John 14:23, <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJesus replied,\u00a0\u201cAnyone who loves me will obey my teaching.\u00a0My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

What does this mean? \u201cWhen the body of Christ is in unity, the veil of the eyes of non-believers will be removed,\u201d he answered telling, \u201cSuddenly they will recognize the Father has sent the Son. We are not waiting for Jesus, He has come for us.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe most ferocious fight is for the church to come into unity. The enemy knows what is going to happen. Do you know why the enemy fights unity?\u201d he asked, \u201cBecause it\u2019s one of the important keys of evangelism in the end times; the final battle is the unity of the body of Christ.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI believe this church is called for a breakthrough. Blessed Church, you have been called by God for a time as this,\u201d he called. \u201cGod has an eye on you for the nation. Once it broke through in Pentecost, it broke through for everyone!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Once you made a hole in the canopy, it will collapse. \u201cThat\u2019s why God is calling certain people for time as this, this congregation here for breakthrough of the nation,\u201d he called. \u201cYou need to put on work clothes for the destiny of this hour; all you desire for the body will be fulfilled.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe key to unity is entering into His presence. That\u2019s why God is calling this church to come back again and again into His presence. You will see each other differently,\u201d he said. \u201cTo Blessed Church, the enemy hates the call on your church; but how do you see the unity of the body?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pioneering is the hardest thing because it is hard work and God needs people who are determined. \u201cOnce the road is ready, others will come. That\u2019s what you\u2019re called for,\u201d he shared.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 62:10, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones! Raise a banner\u00a0for the nations.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cRemove the stones; prepare the highway for Sarawak and for the nation because you are part of a larger body. I believe you have a pioneering calling; you will pay a higher price, but you will open the gates for others to walk in,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
