It was another bright and sunny afternoon as the members of Summit FGB chapter gathered together in union to praise God for all His marvelous works. After the praise and worship, a number of people came up to share their testimonies including Eddy Yong, who shared of God\u2019s healing miracles during his recent mission trip to Vietnam. There he met a lady who suffered from lung failure. She often had trouble breathing and was in a lot of pain. He prayed for her and she was healed! Now she is able to breathe easy! \u201cAll these life threatening diseases is from the devil so we need to cast it out! However, you must have faith to receive,\u201d shared Eddy. God delivers us so that we may glorify Him. There\u2019s nothing greater for God than to see His Kingdom of Heaven on earth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

Edmund Chan (National Full Gospel Businessmen (FGB) Director for Leadership Development and Training) was the main speaker that day, on the 19th<\/sup> of February. He shared, \u201cGod has given everyone that has been called by His name, full authority in Heaven and in earth!\u201d This authority that has been given to us, allows us to go anywhere and make disciples out of people, to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them everything that God has commanded us to. He then went on to urge everyone to be witnesses of Christ, and to build a relationship with Him every day.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus came and told his disciples,\u00a0\u201cI have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,\u00a0baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.\u00a020\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d (Matthew 28:18-20)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And He said to them,\u00a0\u201cGo into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God can only use you if you allow Him to. \u201cWhen you and I walk righteously with Him you will be able to see many miracles,\u201d he shared. When a Christian learn to love the things of God and walk righteously with God, they stand out among worldly people. Many times however, it is difficult to distinguish Christians from worldly people. Our thoughts represent who we are and will lead us to our ultimate destiny. Therefore, we must examine the way we think. In order to renew the mind, we need to obey the Word and completely turn away from sinful desires. We do not receive God\u2019s blessings by simply knowing His Word, but by obeying it. When we study God\u2019s word, we learn that God\u2019s way of doing things supersedes anything the world has to offer. \u201cRemember that people are watching you and me. Walk the talk and live for Jesus wherever you go,\u201d said Edmund.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Therefore, I urge you,\u00a0brothers and sisters, in view of God\u2019s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,\u00a0holy and pleasing to God\u2014this is your true and proper worship.\u00a02\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Do not conform\u00a0to the pattern of this world,\u00a0but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.\u00a0Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is\u2014his good, pleasing\u00a0and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

Through his walk with God, Edmund has been a part of many miracles and simultaneously witnessed many of them in his own family. One of them was his wife, who suffered from high blood pressure. His family prayed over her and when they received the blood test results they witnessed that God had given her a clean bill of health! If that wasn\u2019t enough, Edmund also experienced a time when his daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. \u201cDue to that, the doctor said that she would have to go through an operation, and that there was a possibility of her getting a stroke and becoming a vegetable. I can tell you how devastated we, as a family felt at that time,\u201d he shared. During the day of the scheduled operation, she was in the surgery for six hours. \u201cWe all prayed! And she came out of the operation successfully. Even the doctor was surprised when she could talk as soon as she awoke! God is a really wonderful God, we prayed sincerely and He answered our prayers!\u201d he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you and I serve the Lord, you and your family will be blessed. Through every trial and tribulation, know that God is in control. Sometimes things happen so that you and I can be awakened and so that you and I can share our blessings with the world,\u201d shared Edmund. With that, he encouraged everyone to pray without fail and to make it a habit. \u201cOnce it becomes a habit, you will even be able to hear God speaking to you\u201d he said. \u00a0Heaven is a free gift that God has given to all of us, and we are all able to receive it if we sincerely walk with Him. Have faith and receive!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
